Hello Parents,

Apologies, no photos until tomorrow as I was on a course all day Friday, and so did not bring the ipad home.

This week we have:

RECEPTION:* Recapped phonics and made words using our sounds.* Played 'round the world' by changing one sound each time to make a new word.* Looked at number lines to 20, and worked out missing numbers.* Looked at the pattern of numbers on a 100 square, and introduced counting in 2s.* Practised and practised our Nativity.* Made snowmen with levered arms.* Ironed our Rudolph transfers onto t-shirts nd pillowcases etc.

PRESCHOOL:* Happy fingers; threading, sand writing, tweezers.* Had a go at copy writing our names.* Looked at number lines to 5, and matched numbers of objects.* copied colour and size patterns.

EVERYONE:*Enjoyed a surprise visit from Jon the Police Officer, Heard all about his tools and job, then went in his jail van and listened to the claxtons. (After Christmas our topic is 'People who help us' when we will be having more visitors).* Listened to the Christmas story.* Sang lots of Christmas songs.* Looked at the frost, and looked for clues that Winter is coming.
