What do I need to print my own checks with a laser printer?In order to print your own checks, you will require a black and white laser printer, a MICR toner cartridge from a qualified supplier and accounting software with a MICR module.

Why do I need a MICR cartridge?More banks are using the latest check imaging technology and MICR toner cartridges contain magnetic iron oxide particles that enable character recognition. Regular toner cartridges do not contain the magnetic iron oxide particles used to enable character recognition.
