Especially Frances, who absolutely overstayed her visit and behaved like a spoiled brat. The silver lining is this weather drama occurred on Friday night, September 10. Twenty-eight companies recognized 60 of their outstanding employees at the eighth annual Crane Awards celebration. Mayor John Peyton, WJXT News Anchor Mary Baer, myself and chief executives from every company made each of these sixty winners and their guests believe that this was their night. Each left knowing the importance of his or her contribution to the success of not only his company, but to the betterment of our community. We offer a special thanks to Kendra Tanner, Allstates WorldCargo and Assistant Chairperson of the Community Relations, and her committee for making this year's Crane Awards even more meaningful. We are especially appreciative to the twenty-eight companies that participated, and in particular, the key executives whose presence most clearly stated the importance in their eyes of the role these employees play in the success of their operation. I wish it were possible to share with each FCMA member how significant an event the Crane Awards have become to your employees. You will have a chance to see through the 30 minute video that will be presented on public access television. We will advise you of the time, and each winner will receive a copy of the tape. We needed a special way to express appreciation after the hardships of Charley and Frances. The Crane Awards fulfilled that need. More importantly, it put into perspective how we need to express appreciation each day for those that make us successful. Congratulations to each winner and to each employee that you represent. We appreciate you every day, but on September 10, we were publicly grateful.

Friday, September 10, 2004 - A Special Day for Special PeopleThe time before and after Labor Day will be remembered by First Coast residents as time spent with Charley and Frances.Especially Frances, who absolutely overstayed her visit and behaved like a spoiled brat.

The silver lining is this weather drama occurred on Friday night, September 10. Twenty-eight companies recognized 60 oftheir outstanding employees at the eighth annual Crane Awards celebration. Legislative: The draft 2005 legislative agenda will be presented for Board approval, then presented to Duval Delegation inlate early fall. 2. Guests: Will be extended another invitation due to meeting cancellation because of hurricanes. 3. Enterprise Florida Manufacturing Advisory Council: Great speakers are planned for the first annual Manufacturing Summitto be held Dec. 1-2 in Orlando.
