View From The Principal’s Desk Touch Football Gala Day
Last Thursday over 60 of our Primary students took part in a NSW Touch Football Associa on Gala Day at Gately Fields in
Narrabri. Mr Toomey had organised the students into seven different teams and although a hot and windy day all the
students enjoyed the challenge of playing against various other schools. It was not a compe on with the aim instead to
increase interest in playing touch football and improve general fitness and athle c skills. Thank you to Cliff and the
Primary staff who supervised the students for the day.
Narrabri District Cricket Challenge
Again last Thursday a combined Wee Waa and Burren Junc on Public boys cricket team took part in this annual

opponents but found the Narrabri West boys difficult to dislodge. The final result saw Narrabri West win on
superior run rate from Wee Waa/Burren. Thank you to those parents who assisted with transport. The members of the
team from Wee Waa Public were Max Smith, George Reid, Lachlan Wright, Lucas Piper, BJ Cruickshank & Dylan Smith.
