Aim : To make the audience agree with our opinion

Specific goal : To make the audience agree that classical

video games instil more values than the latest

batch of video games Thesis Statement : Classical video games contain more useful

values that nurture personal development.

Introduction

I. Games nowadays integrated a lot of amazing features such as

detailed graphics, amazing storyline, and sassy characters.

II. However, the moral values degrade due to these features

which results in unsuitable display for younger audiences.

III. Classical video games, on the other hand, might look worse

and simple.

IV. However, they are more enjoyable and meaningful as they

have vast moral values being expressed through the game

Body

I. The purpose of competitiveness is different.

a. People fight over popularity rather than cooperation in the

latest massive multiplayer games.

i. They finish quests and missions for the sake of

recognition.

ii. They tend to be unsatisfied when they couldn’t be

the best in missions; hence they fight for a whole

different purpose.

b. Most classical games encourages players to keep

improving and fight the limit of oneself while playing the

game as they try to beat their own record.

i. They are being competitive against themselves,

which indirectly teach them to recognize their true

enemy and potential.

ii. The true enemy is themselves, and they have the

potential to overcome it.

c. In two players classical gaming, the cooperation is based

on trust and bond with each other as they strive together to

complete the game.

II. The value of friendship has degraded over the time.

a. Games nowadays play together online based on personal

interests.

i. People look for skills rather than innate

characteristics of the player.

ii. Such is called a fake friendship.

b. The classical games promise an enjoyable premise to the

players as they play side by side while struggling with the

game together.

i. People play for fun and not for the skill.

ii. It can potentially be a healthy past time between the

two, or more.

III. Modern games are more explicit compared the classical ones.

a. We can barely find games that are free of heavy violence

or nudity.

i. It is to make the game ‘meet’ the current

requirements of players.

b. There are many more bad materials in modern games.

c. Classical games have a different general objective.

i. Hence they promote positive layouts and graphics for

players to enjoy.

IV. It is hard to instil strong generation of imagination in current

games.

a. There are people relying on the outstanding graphics of the

game rather than trying to enjoy its context.

i. Such person is called realistic.

ii. They find no interest in the message trying to be

delivered by the game.

b. Due to the still developing time, classical games are

limited to their lower quality graphics.

i. However, this allows gamers to rely on their own

creativity even more.

Conclusion

I. We emphasize that modern video games give more harms than

good.

II. In this research, we proved that classical games are better.

III. Games should bring entertainment with almost no negative

impacts on the society.
