Can you bring your own sheets for a queen size bed? We have blankets, towels, etc. you can use- just would be good if you brought your own sheets.

2. Do you already have transportation from the airport figured out? If not- I suggest to take the "Fly Away" shuttle bus to Union Station. It comes every 20-30 min. and if you ask anyone near the baggage claim where to pick up the Fly Away bus- they can point you in the right direction- basically there are green signs that say "Fly Away" on the middle curb and you just wait there. Make sure you get on the one going to Union Station b/c they also go to other places. It costs $6 and you pay cash when you arrive at Union Station- so if you can come w/ $6 cash on hand that would be good. Our place is only about 15 min. walk from Union Station- but if you'd like I could possibly pick you up in our car which wouldn't be a problem- it is so close- b/c it might be a little tricky for you to find on your own. 3. Do you need a bike? If so- you can use my bike while you're here. Since we are about 15 min. walk from the metro- having the bike makes it much easier to get around. It is also about a 20-25 min. walk to the main part of downtown- but a quick 10min. bike ride. We have one orphanage with over 75 children and my job is to do fundraising in the UK to help fund the orphanage to send the children to school, etc. My boss knows I work very hard to get the money for the NGO and so he is sending me on a holiday/work trip with the hopes of getting more funding from the U.S. with some contacts I have there. Maybe I can speak frankly to you as someone who is also involved in humanitarian work (service to humanity) but the problem I am currently facing is that my boss hasn't in two years supplied me with the adequate tools for funding. I mean photo of the children, etc. the type of details funders like to know. I told him I'd like to come to visit the orphanage and

take the photos myself, maybe even video footaege, but he says it's too dangerous for me to travel there right now. Do you know anyone who has traveled to Chad or anywhere else in Africa recantly? I myself went to Africa a couple times (Kenya & Malawi) in 2003 & 2004. I am not sure about what the travel dangers are in traveling to Chad, however, but I suppose since your boss is there, he would know best. Maybe to capture what you need to present to funders can be found other ways without putting yourself in danger by traveling there at the moment. Maybe there are some journalists there or some photos online that you could buy of orphans, etc.? I understand the predicament you're in- all you can do is just keep doing the best you can with the tools you do have- maybe focus on that. Sometimes I would get frustrated with my old boss as well....but it sounds like your boss is in Africa? That must be nice....does your boss travel to the UK to work with you & to meet with funders? I think the work he is doing is relly amazing and I am just happy to be a part of this service to humanity like this. Strange to think that I havent met him b?c we have such a connection after these two years, that it is like I have met him already- hmmm....strange to think. You know- now that you have me thinking and processing these things...I just might plan a "surprise" trip to Chad to meet all the orphans I've heard so much about.
