A job that can sometimes feel like a burden isn't one. JOYFUL is what I feel spreading my wings a little.

I have to keep up my education with my massage license and every year I go to a workshop or seminar that gives me 6 or more Continuing Education Units or CEU's. I attended one on 9-28-17 at the Marriott Hotel close to Hobby Airport. The City has been doing so much construction on the freeways I left my home extra early just in case there was a snag of some kind, like a detour etc... Registration was at 7:45 a.m. I arrived at 6:20 a.m., parked, went into the hotel to find the room the seminar was in. I was told at the desk it would be in the "Pasadena Room" and was pointed in that direction. I passed a hotel sign that listed all the seminars & workshops for that day. The sign also confirmed my seminar was in the Pasadena Room. By that time it was 6:40 a.m. Room was set up and there was a very nice Continental breakfast set up with coffee, several different kinds of juices, swee rolls, muffins, fruit, etc...I thought that was strange as the previous seminars I'd been to with this company only supplied water and coffee. We'd never had food before. Well I thanked Jesus for breakfast, got a cup of coffee and some fruit and a muffin, sat down and was enjoying the food. The staff was very helpful and friendly. One staff member told me about the hot food in another area of the room. There were scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy and hash browns. I helped myself to some eggs, bacon and hash browns. Sat down and began eating. By this time it was about 7:15 a.m. I was surprised there were no other people there by that time. 7:30, 7:45, 7:55 and no one! Finally a man came in to eat, fixed him a plate and I asked him if he knew when registration would open? He said they registered last night. There would be no registration today. Found out I was in the wrong room. The room was set up for a Christian Church Forum. So I thanked him, apologized for eating their food and he said it was not a problem and we laughed about it. I left, found the same hotel staff person and asked him again where my seminar was? He look sheepish, apologized and said it was moved to the Corpus Christi room. I headed over there about 8:10 a.m., registered and found a seat. Guess what they served; coffee and water! I was so thankful for the mistake. Just another way that God takes good care of me -- providing "this day my daily bread!" I felt very loved by God. He is so very good and amazing as he knew I did not take time for breakfast before I left the house, but I did fix a lunch for later.

Quarterly Prayer Intentions
"Where two or three are gathered in My name, there am I in their midst." Matthew 18:20
Through the intercession of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary, all the Angels and Saints, Lord, humbly hear our prayers.
For Pope Francis' monthly intentions and that all Christians may be supported by the prayers and material help of the whole church.
That young people will surrender generously to God's call and seriously consider offering themselves to God in the Priesthood or consecrated life.
For the sake of "one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
For world leaders to respect humanity, dignity and religious liberty.
For the sick and lonely, for those who have no one to pray for them, and for an end to all acts of violence and hatred.
AMEN
