Developed in 2005 in response to growing interest in service and volunteerismBased on a combination of American Language and Culture and Alternative Spring Break models

GoalsTo deepen students interest in and understanding of public service and non-profit organizationsTo study complex social and environmental issues through both academic and hands on activitiesTo increase students sense of meaning and directionTo connect “mind learning” with “heart learning”
