Dear Parents: Welcome to Veterans Park Recreation Center’s Summer Camp Program. We have been working very hard to make this summer’s program very exciting. Your children will be enjoying games, art projects, sports, special activities, guest speakers. To make sure campers are prepared to enjoy activities, please refer to the weekly calendars. We would also like you to review the reminders below:
PLEASE mark all articles with your child's name (lunch boxes, clothing, towels, water bottles, etc.).
Children should wear closed toe shoes to camp to prevent injuries.
Please bring sunscreen, a swim suit and a towel on splash park and water days. It is preferred that they come ready to get wet on water or splash park days.
Free lunch and afternoon snack will be available to each camper through the Lee County School Board’s Free Lunch and Snack Program. Children may also bring their own lunch if preferred (microwaves will not be available).
Vending machines will not be available to campers during camp. This helps to prevent lost or stolen money reports to office staff.
ATTENTION Due to covid-19 new drop off and pick procedures will be curbside drop off and pick up at the front corner of parking lot. Please be
prepared to show ID. No camper will be released to anyone who is not authorized on the supplemental sheet filled out by the parent. Staff will check Your camper in and out at the curb as they arrive and depart the program. In the event of inclement weather, we ask that you park and come to the front office for check in and / or check out.
There are phones on site. Children will be allowed to call their parents only when necessary. Electronics, such as cell phones, Nintendo DS, PSP and IPOD are not allowed .We are not responsible for damaged, lost or stolen property.
Good behavior is expected and children are not allowed to hit/hurt other campers or become disrespectful to any staff members.
Veterans Park Summer Camp has a zero-tolerance behavior policy. We appreciate you taking the time to review these reminders and helping us make this a great summer. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. Parents are welcome to attend any of our activities or special events. Recreationally Yours, Nancy Zukaitis Camp Director
