Verona™ SeriesThe new Verona™ Series makes its debut showcasing its unique shapes anddifferentiating scale in a three inch modular system. This series combines threedimensionally larger shapes with a higher level of detail and finish in the jointedsurface. The smaller chamfers and joints compliment these different shapes with cleanand crisp edges. A more urban style series, Verona™ modulates on an architecturaltwelve inch centerline for the near perfect match in the horizontal and verticalalignments. As stand alone shapes, repeating patterns or random mosaic patterns,Verona™ Series brings a sense of scale and congruency to any pedestrian projectseeking individual expression and design innovations.

PROduCT INfORMATION

Verona™ Series is available in (3) sizes. Height = 80mm

The Verona™ Series is made from a "no slump" concrete mix. Made under pressure andhigh frequency vibrations, the Verona™ Series has a compressive strength greater than8000psi, a water absorption maximum of 5% and will meet or exceed ASTM C 936except for Section 5.1 where the unit's face area may be > 101 in.2.

COMPOSITION ANd MANufACTuRE

1. Excavate unsuitable, unstable or unconsolidated subgrade material and compactthe area which has been cleared. Backfill and level with dense graded aggregatesuitable for base material - typically minimum 4 inch to 8 inches thick (102mm- 203mm). Compact base to optimum moisture / density or as otherwise directedby Site Engineer / Architect / Landscape Architect.

2. Place bedding course of washed sand conforming to the grading requirementsof ASTM C 33 to a maximum uniform depth of 1-1 1/2 inch (25-38mm). Screedto the grade and profile required.

3. Install the Verona™ Series with joints to a nominal 1/8 inch (3mm).

4. Where required, cut pavers with an approved cutting device to fit accurately,neatly and without damaged edges.

5. Compact using a plate compactor with neoprene mats attached to thecompactor or use a rubber roller compactor. Alternatively compact with astandard steel plate compactor using sheets of plywood on top of the pavingunits. Do not compact paving units directly on top with a standard platecompactor.

6. Post compaction, spread and sweep dry ASTM C 33 or ASTM C 144 sand overthe entire paving area.

7. Make one more pass with the plate compactor using neoprene mats, rubberrollers or plywood to completely fill the joints with sand.

8. Sweep paver surface clean for final acceptance by owner/owner’s agent.

Note: Colors are shown as accurately as possible in brochures & samples, but due to the nature of the product, regionalcolor differences and variables in print reproduction, colors may not match exactly. For best results in maintaining colorconsistency, pavers must be installed from several cubes at a time. Efflorescence, a whitish, powder-like deposit, mayappear on concrete pavers. This is a natural occurrence in any concrete product and will usually wear off over time.
