AchieveNJ UpdateStudent Growth Percentiles (mSGPs) were released on January 8, 2015– SGP will count 30% for Math/ELA teachers grades

4-8 toward 2013-14 final evaluation (10% next year).

– Principals will share the scores with their teachers.– Overall scores are now calculated (Marzano, VGO,

SGP) for 2013-14!• Upcoming Evaluation Score Certification Process

– Principals & Assistant Principals overall scores are now calculated (median of the teachers scores).

Qualifications for TeachersRecall, for the mSGP to be part of a teacher's evaluation, a teacher must: • Have been the teacher of record for at

least 60 percent of the course prior to the NJ ASK; and

• Have valid SGP scores for at least 20 separate students who were enrolled in the class for at least 70 percent of the school year before taking the NJ ASK.

dominant elements in Domain #1; reviewed Domains #2-4

– VGOs, Classroom Management, UbD, ...

• Director of CIA meets with mentors• 10/20/30 week evaluations are written by

the building principals so that the first year teachers receive permanent certification
