Verdun, Montreal
Very real
My home from the alleyOur building is on the left.
Rue GaltWith the soaring spires of Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs behind.
De l’Eglise metro stationWhen the metro is reliable, it can be relied upon to get you places.
Rue WellingtonMost of the time, pretty busy.
Wellington shop windowBright colours.
DollsThe same window. How glamourous they look.
2nd AvenueI turned on a whim here, simply because the building looked nice.
UnexpectedNature shows up in unexpected places
Rue de VerdunDowntown never seems far away. The towers sit impassively in the hazy distance.
2nd AvenueThe other side of rue de Verdun. Even in mid-November, the leaves are still illuminating the street.
2nd AvenueQuiet, but seldom deserted.
2nd AvenueAn unusual depanneur storefront.
2nd AvenueDepanneur door
Avenue RielleThis is as grandiose as Verdun gets, I think.
Canal de l’AqueducThese two were strangers, but their dogs made them temporary friends.
By Canal de l’AqueducOld childhood pursuits live on.
Canal de l’AqueducI thought this a good place to stop shooting, and simply walked the rest of my way with the camera zipped away in my backpack.
