n recent years the UK has been the victim of the greatest crisis for a country to cross: the social crisis.

What the media in general has shown over the past few months is a nation dedicated to the work of trying to rebuild a society that second definition of the British is broken, or as they say “Broken Britain”. The consumption of alcohol and drugs among young people has reached levels never seen before and cases of teenage pregnancy has become more common than in other parts of Europe, leading the population to live with an overall decline in quality of life in British society . The lack of family structure has been identified by magistrates as a national tragedy and the biggest complaint among voters according to a survey has been fear related to increased violence. Read the article of our journalist Iza Viana exclusive to VERBO magazine.

O que a mídia de uma forma geral mais tem mostrado dos últimos meses é uma nação voltada para o trabalho de tentar reconstruir uma sociedade que segundo definição dos britânicos está quebrada, ou como eles dizem “Broken Britain”.O consumo de álcool e drogas entre os jovens tem alcançado níveis nunca vistos antes e casos de gravidez na adolescência já se tornaram mais comuns do que em outros locais da Europa, levando a população a conviver com uma diminuição generalizada da qualidade de vida na sociedade britânica. virtues of this man and even God Himself gives testimony about him.A certain day, Satan came to present himself before God and God Himself asked him if he had noticed Job, his fidelity and awe of God. God wanted to show that there was a man within God’s standards.Satan refutes saying that Job was upright because of his personal interests; because everything is his life was very good. And God permitted Satan to touch Job’s life, his family, his goods, etc. And it was so. Satan took away his animals, his servants, his children, his house, etc. Job received these news one after another and kept his faith, without sinning.After that, Satan came once again to present himself before God. The Lord asked him if he had noticed that Job kept his faithfulness and integrity, in spite of everything he had gone through.God not only testified of Job, as He also ratified Job’s testimony.Satan provokes God again, saying that if Job was touched in his flesh, certainly he would go against God. And God permitted Satan to touch him, but He did not permitted Satan to take his life away.Satan smote Job with terrible ulcers. And yet two sieges were formed around him.The first one is that of his wife. Everything was over in Job’s life and his wife was questioning his integrity. Up to this point, we can consider it to be a normal thing... she had suffered many losses, she was nervous... lost her head passing through all of that. But when she said: “Curse God...” she went too far!Job needed someone by his side that would support him, to back him up, to encourage him, someone that would help him to keep his faith in God, but she advised him to give up of something he was totally attached to- his God.Besides assailing his faithfulness against God, the closest person to Job wanted to see him dead. O Senhor lhe perguntou se havia notado que Jó permanecia fiel e íntegro, apesar de tudo o que havia acontecido.Deus não só testemunhou a respeito de Jó, como assinou embaixo daquele testemunho.Satanás novamente instiga a Deus, dizendo que se Jó fosse tocado em sua carne, certamente ele iria contra o Senhor. E Deus permitiu que Satanás novamente o tocasse, porém não permitiu que tirasse sua vida.Satanás afligiu Jó com feridas terríveis. E ainda dois cercos se formam ao redor dele.O primeiro é com sua mulher. Tudo se acabou na vida de Jó e sua mulher lhe questionava sua integridade. Até aqui podemos considerar como algo normal... ela sofreu muitas perdas, ficou nervosa... perdeu a cabeça ao passar por tudo aquilo. Mas quando ela disse: “amaldiçoa a Deus”... ela passou dos limites !Jó precisava de alguém ao seu lado que lhe apoiasse, lhe desse força, lhe animasse ,que o ajudasse a se manter firme em Deus, mas ela o aconselhou a desistir de algo a quem ele era totalmente ligado - seu Deus.

would not be a solution but certainly would put an end to everything, including the testimony God had given about Job.The second siege was the one of his “friends”, who learnt about his situation and came by to comfort him and show solidarity. This siege lasted very long. Instead of comforting him, they act like a destructive weapon. They attribute guilt to Job for everything that was happening.Guilt is a little word but it has a great destructive power. For this reason Jesus was condemned and found guilty without deserving it, but He has borne the guilt, the injustice and overcome!Therefore, you can overcome any type of guilt in your life. There are lives paralyzed by guilt for years.The human being cannot accept that someone would hold his faithfulness in times of suffering. Let’s use marriage as an example: Two people go to the altar declare their fidelity to each other, declare that they will love each other until death tears them apart and after some time they pass through struggles. These are advices the society will give: leave this person; you are so pretty; you have a stable financial life; you were not born to suffer.He who is faithful to the Lord might even go through suffering but his reward is valuable, sooner or later he will know the hand of the Lord. It is worth being faithful!Job, in the middle of all those sieges, adverse words and accusations declared he knew the Redeemer was alive.He remained righteous and faithful because he did not give ear to what they were saying.Being healed was not his greatest desire, nor to have things around him, but to see God. And that was what happened!It does not matter what you are going through, allow God to be involved, because He is mighty to bring life to things that are already dead. Jesus paid a high price; He bought us with His blood so that we can have life.Throughout his life Job had been upright and feared God, but only in the middle of pain and tribulation he saw God. What he desired the most had happened.It was in the worst time of his life that he had his greatest experience with God.In the bad times, the Lord stands up take you to a new time in your life, where your luck will be changed.God has already offered the best, His Son Jesus!Acknowledge that He has given Himself for you and believe in a great change in your life.He will change your luck!

Além de atacar sua fidelidade contra Deus, a pessoa que estava mais próxima de Jó desejava vê-lo morto. Morrer não seria a solução, mas certamente acabaria com tudo, inclusive com o testemunho que Deus havia dado sobre Jó.O segundo cerco foi dos seus “amigos”, que souberam de sua situação, e vieram para juntos mostrarem solidariedade e consolá-lo. Este foi um cerco que durou muito tempo. Ao invéz de consolálo eles agiram como uma arma destruidora. E em todo tempo imputavam culpa a Jó por tudo o que estava acontecendo.Culpa é uma palavra pequena mas que tem um grande poder destrutivo. Por isso Jesus foi condenado e culpado sem merecer, mas Ele levou sobre si a culpa, a injustiça e venceu !Com isso você pode vencer qualquer tipo de culpa na sua vida. Existem vidas que estão paralisadas na culpa há anos. O ser humano não consegue aceitar que alguém se mantenha fiel no sofrimento. Vamos usar como exemplo o casamento. Duas pessoas vão até o altar e declaram sua fidelidade um ao outro, declaram que se amarão até a morte e depois de um tempo passam por problemas. Os conselhos que a sociedade dará é: largue essa pessoa, você é tão bonito, tem uma vida financeira estável, você não nasceu para sofrer.Quem é fiel a Deus pode até passar por sofrimento mas a recompensa é muito valorosa, quem confia no Senhor, mais cedo ou mais tarde vai experimentar da mão do Senhor. Vale à pena ser fiel !Jó, no meio de todos aqueles cercos, palavras adversas e acusações declarou que sabia que seu Redentor estava vivo. Ele se manteve íntegro e fiel, porque não deu ouvidos àquilo que lhe falavam. Seu maior desejo não era ser curado, nem ter suas coisas de volta, mas sim, ver a Deus. E foi isso o que aconteceu !Não importa a situação que você está passando, permita que Deus se envolva, pois é Ele que tem poder pra trazer vida às coisas que já estão mortas. Jesus pagou alto preço, nos comprou com sangue pra que tivéssemos vida. Por toda sua vida Jó foi reto, temente a Deus, mas no meio da dor da tribulação é que ele enxergou a Deus. O que ele mais desejava aconteceu. Foi no pior tempo da sua vida que ele teve sua maior experiência com Deus. Nos maus momentos o Senhor se ergue pra te levar a um tempo novo na sua vida, onde sua sorte é mudada.Deus já nos ofereceu o melhor, Seu Filho Jesus ! Reconheça que ele se deu por você e creia numa grande virada em sua vida. Ele vai mudar a sua sorte!

princes feast at the proper time-For strength and not for drunkenness.” (Ecclesiastes 10:17) Why do so many people complain? They complain because they are being ruled by brambles. Like we see in text in Judges, the olive tree did not accept the offer; neither did the fig tree, or the vine. So, face to face with this refusal, all the trees (the people) said to the bramble: “Come thou, and reign over us.”Many people are being ruled by brambles. And the bramble imposes the following condition: “If in truth ye anoint me king over you, then come and put your trust in my shadow.” But brambles do not cast a shadow; brambles only have thorns, not shadow. It also said: “Then come and take shelter in my shade.”But the bramble does not offer shelter, it causes wounds. It is arriving a time when we have to choose our politicians. I would say that there are five “C’s” that would be important in the life of a politician.1. Character: It is who this person is inside.2. Commitment: to God3. Companionship: It means not selling oneself, is

having- and being – true friends. 4. Consecration: It is being more than politician and

being consecrated to God.5. Christ’s body: It is being part of the Body of

Christ.

refazerem as forças e não para bebedice.” (Ec. 10.17)Por que muitas pessoas reclamam? Reclamam porque estão sendo governadas por espinheiros. Como vimos no texto de Juízes, a oliveira não aceitou a proposta, nem a figueira, nem a videira. Então, diante da recusa dessas, todas as árvores (o povo) disseram ao espinheiro: “Então venha você e reine sobre nós.”Muitas pessoas estão sendo governadas por espinheiros. E o espinheiro colocou como condição o seguinte: “Se vocês quiserem me ungir rei, venham e se refugiem debaixo da minha sombra.” Só que espinheiro não produz sombra, espinheiro só tem espinhos, ele não faz sombra. Ele disse também: “Venham e se aninhem, fiquem debaixo da minha cobertura”. Acontece que o espinheiro não oferece cobertura, ele provoca feridas. E chega um momento em que nós estamos aí para escolher os nossos políticos. Eu diria que há cinco “C” que seriam importantes na vida de um político: 1. Caráter: é quem é a pessoa em seu interior.2. Compromisso: com Deus.3. Companheirismo: significa não se vender, é ter –

e ser – amigos verdadeiros.4. Consagração: é ser mais do que político e se

consagrar a Deus.5. Corpo de Cristo: é fazer parte do corpo de

Cristo.

deceased friend, Commander Rolim Amaro, ex-owner of the flying company Tam, cites one of his maxims, which he used to consider like the 7th commandment of his company: “The

best way to earn money is stop losing it.” When we come across with the book of Haggai, written in 520-480 B.C., we had already received advices to sew up our wallets, the opposite: “And he, who earns, earns wages to put into a purse with holes.” Haggai 1:6We are part of a society where we find people who relate to money in different ways:1. The ones who earn a lot, sometimes not caring about its source and in the same way the money arrives, it slips through their hands... “There’s a whole in the wallet.”2. The ones who earn little and also squander as if they had a money mine and when they find out, it is too late, “there’s a terrible hole in the wallet.”However, there are those who know how to conquer their “treasures”, whether they are few or many, they have some secrets to share with us in the beginning of another year, that like every other brings us a hope: “This will be my year.”Here there are some tips to sew up “our wallets” in 2008:First of all, be sure about your real output.Get out of the queue of those who live their lives saying: “If everything works out, I will receive that much”, “If God wants, I will sell this or that, so I’ll organise everything”. “The way things go, I will earn that much”. This has never worked! Stop living on conjectures, live everyday with what you really possess.Secondly, be thankful for the resources that God has trusted in your hands.Thankfulness to the Creator is an endangered species. That is, people who open their mouths to say “Thank you very much”, “God bless you” when they receive a favour from someone sent by the Eternal are rather rare. Before doing anything Jesus would say: “Father, I give you thanks” (John 6:11; 11:41). The apostle Paul learned this lesson so well, that when he wrote to the brethren in Philippi, he said, “Give thanks in all circumstances. Remember that in order for your wallet to be smiling, he gave you

Saia da fila daqueles que vivem a vida dizendo, “se tudo der certo, vou receber tanto”, “se Deus quiser, vou vender isso ou aquilo”, assim, colocarei a casa em ordem. “Pelo andar da carruagem faturarei tanto”; isso nunca funcionou! Pare de viver de conjecturas, viva cada dia com o que de fato você possui.Em segundo Lugar, seja agradecido pelos recursos que Deus tem confiado as suas mãos.Se existe algo que vem se tornando uma “espécie” em extinção, é a gratidão para com o Criador. Aliás, são raras as pessoas que quando recebem algum benefício de um enviado do Eterno, abrem a boca para dizer: “Muito obrigado”, “Que Deus o abençoe!”.Tudo que Jesus fazia, antes, dizia, Pai, graças te dou, Jo. 6.11; 11.41. O apóstolo Paulo aprendeu tanto esta lição, que escrevendo aos irmãos em Filipos, dizia, “Em tudo daí graças, I Tess. 5.18. Lembra que para a sua carteira

If you were sick and without any talents, would your wallet be smiling or would it have an angry hole?In third place, invite God to orientate you regarding the administration of your earnings. Jesus, the greatest financial adviser that ever lived, left us a wise council: whenever you want anything, do ask the Holy Spirit for guidance before, because apart from teaching you, he will remind you of all you need (John 16:13).Do not be presumptuous to the point of considering yourself an expert in dealing with money that you would never “bother God” as He already has so much to do.Be aware that there are many empty wallets in the four corners of the earth, in the hands of people who think like this.Lastly, tithe faithfully and have an open heart to share!

Change the expression “I will give my tithe”, as this is not a biblical expression, this is a jargon that many have been using along the years. To decimate is to return the sacred tenth part to the Holy One of Israel, Leviticus 27:32, Exodus 23: 19, Deuteronomy 12: 6-11. Consecrate the tenth part as an act of worship to the Lord and be generous, giving God your best, Proverbs 11:24-25; remember how many necessities His Kingdom has; think about your neighbour , share the bread with your brother. Dear reader and friend, there will never be a hole in the wallet of son of God, if his life is in line with these eternal principles. Sew up your wallet now, call the Holy Spit, the tailor; use a sewing machine called Bible and the line called obedience. Doing so, you will be prosperous and successful (Joshua 1:8).

Cuidado, há muita carteira vazia, pelos quatros cantos da terra, nas mãos de pessoas que raciocinam assim. Em último lugar, Seja fiel dizimista e tenha um coração

aberto a dividir! Mude esta expressão, “vou dar o meu dízimo”; esta expressão não é bíblica, isso é um jargão que muitos vem usando ao longo dos tempos. O dizimista, devolve a décima parte sagrada ao Santo de Israel, Lv. 27.32, Ex. 23.19, Dt.12.6,11. Consagre o dízimo em um ato de culto ao Senhor, e seja dadivoso, ofertando o seu melhor a Deus, Pv. 11.24-25; lembre das muitas necessidades que o seu reino precisa; pense no seu próximo, divida o pão com o seu irmão.Caro amigoleitor, jamais a carteira de um filho de Deus ficará furada, quando sua vida estiver pautada nesses princípios eternos. Costure a sua carteira já, Chame o “costureiro” chamado Espírito Santo, use a “máquina” chamada Bíblia, e a “linha” chamada obediência. Fazendo assim, então farás prosperar o teu caminho, e serás bem-sucedido, Js.1.8.

n September last year I decided to venture into the world of street foot racings. I always saw people running on hot or cold days, with or without rain and I

wondered: “-What makes someone go out to run, especially in this cold England? But I found no answer until the moment I decided to try. And for the premiere, I chose the most famous foot street racing in Brazil: São Silvestre! I started training very tentatively with the assistance of a professional, which led me to complete my first 10 kilometres in ten weeks. It was a great joy because I never believed I could run! Three months passed quickly and there I was among 21 thousand enrolled runners, pure adrenaline, on Paulista Avenue, waiting for the great moment. Suddenly the race started while playing “Chariots of Fire” and I could not resist the tears. I remembered the training, the will to give up, the desire to conquer this land, to reach the end of the race and raise my arms.I started crying on the path, as who sows a seed, and soon after a few miles I saw a thermometer showing a reading of 30 Celsius. It was hot! Soon crowds of people gave up and I could hear many excuses from them. But I decided not to hear their “counsel”. I kept going toward the target, to the end, feeling the pain and difficulties in the path. In the last two kilometres I found the feared climb. I did not keep looking forward and did not see what was happening on the street; I kept focused on one metre ahead of my step so as not to be discouraged by the climb length. When I reached the top, I sighted the end of the race and the tears had taken me again. I sped up and finished my first race with the request smile on my face. Were 15 Kilometres in 01h 48m. Besides enjoying a lot, I learned many things from this experience. I also remembered the words of the Apostle Paul when he wrote to the Corinthians [I Cor 9:24] saying “Don’t you know that in a race all the runners run but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize”.Thus, I learned that perseverance is the most important in a career, therefore without it you won’t arrive anywhere. I also learned that to control the mind and say no to external influences (those who gave up) will never be easy. I experienced that a victory or conquest worth more than any defeat. And I realized once again that the words of the Holy Book are present in everything, even in São Silvestre marathon.

m Setembro do ano passado decidi me aventurar pelo mundo das corridas de rua. Sempre via gente correndo em dias quentes ou frios, com ou sem chuva e ficava me

perguntando:“-O que faz alguém sair de casa para correr, especialmente no frio da Inglaterra?Não cheguei a nenhuma resposta até o momento em que decidi tentar. E para a estréia, escolhi a corrida de rua mais famosa do Brasil: A São Silvestre!De maneira tímida iniciei o treino com a assessoria de um profissional, o que me levou a completar meus primeiros 10K em dez semanas. Foi uma alegria imensa porque eu nunca acreditei que pudesse correr!Os três meses passaram rapidamente e lá estava eu, no meio de 21.000 inscritos, pura adrenalina, na Av. Paulista, esperando o grande momento. De repente a largada foi dada ao som de “Carruagens de fogo”, e eu não resisti às lágrimas. Lembrei do treino, da vontade de desistir pelo caminho, da vontade de conquistar este terreno, da vontade de chegar ao final da corrida e levantar os braços...Iniciei o trajeto chorando, como quem planta uma semente, e logo depois de alguns kilômetros avistei um termômetro que marcava 30°C... estava quente! Logo, aos montes, muitos desistiam, e eu pude ouvir várias desculpas desses desistentes. Decidi não escutar o “conselho” deles. Prossegui para o alvo, para o fim, sentindo a dor e as dificuldades da trajetória. Nos últimos dois kilômetros veio a temida subida. Lá, eu não olhava para frente, não enxerguei o que acontecia na rua, me mantive focado a um metro de minhas passadas, para não ser desanimado pela extensão da subida. Quando atingi o topo, avistei o fim da corrida e as lágrimas me tomaram novamente. Acelerei e terminei minha primeira corrida com o pedido sorriso no rosto. Foram 15K em 01h48min. Além de curtir muito, eu aprendi bastante com essa experiência. Lembrei também das palavras do Apóstolo Paulo quando escreveu aos Coríntios [I Cor. 9:24] dizendo:“Vocês não sabem que de todos os que correm no estádio, apenas um ganha o prêmio? Corram de tal modo que alcancem o prêmio.” Dessa forma, aprendi que a perseverança é o mais importante em uma trajetória, pois sem ela não se chega a lugar nenhum. Aprendi também, que controlar a mente e dizer não para as influências externas (os desistentes), nunca será fácil. Experimentei que a vitória ou uma conquista, vale mais do que qualquer derrota. E percebi mais uma vez, que as palavras do Santo Livro se fazem presente em tudo, até mesmo na São Silvestre.

An out-top woman over the other bible characters. Jewess, slave, orphan and servant, she ends up being the queen of a people she didn’t know. Furthermore, she was woman in a society where women had no value. But the history places her as the only hope in Israel and she assumes the position of leader in a way that many men and women, nowadays, wouldn’t do.Through the life of Ester as servant, God puts in evidence other faithful servants like her cousin Mordecai. Ester was a wise woman and built her house. Her action was not bashful or passive but active, impetuous, fearless, not agreeing with the worst! She gave her best and was honoured by the king who blessed her, granting her purpose.The word “servant” scares the women of today. But the biblical expression is not a kind of unworthiness. Jesus himself gave the greatest example of servant that human history has ever known. A servant wife is not in any way a slave, but a useful and capable people at home, at work, at church, in politics and in all segments of society. Ester was an example. She was wise enough to design her own model of home management in the society which she was part of and strong enough to behave herself and take a position in defence of her people.God knew very well why He was raising a daughter to be queen of the great Persian Empire. Esther remained cautious, acted without anxiety, with patience and wisdom. These attributes have to be part of the woman who makes the difference.In short, the history of Esther refers to situations that from the human point of view could never have happened like she becoming queen of the Persian Empire and abrogate the death decree upon his people.Her example is actual and important for that all women can see their true value and their role at home, in society and wherever they are.Here goes my hug to all women warriors, dear sisters who fight at home, at work, in the church, who are true servants, who spare no efforts to make the difference. The Lord bless you and keep you. Lift up your head and continue even if misunderstood. Make the difference. You are much more.

Mas a expessão bíblica não é uma forma de desmerecimento. O próprio Jesus deu o maior exemplo de servo que a história humana já conheceu. Uma esposa serva não é de forma alguma uma escrava, mas sim uma pessoa útil e capaz em casa, no trabalho, na igreja, na politica e em todos os seguimentos da sociedade. Ester foi um exemplo disso. Sabia o suficiente para contornar o modelo de gestão do lar, na sociedade da qual fazia parte, e forte o suficiente para se comportar e se posicionar em defesa de seu povo.Deus sabia muito bem porque estava levantando uma filha para ser rainha do grande império persa. Ester se manteve cautelosa, agiu sem ansiedade, com paciência e sabedoria. Estes atributos têm que fazer parte da mulher que faz a diferença.Em síntese, a história de Ester nos remete a situações que aos olhos humanos nunca poderiam tem acontecido como ela ser rainha do império persa e anular o decreto de morte sobre seu povo. O seu exemplo é atual e importante para que todas as mulheres enxerguem o seu verdadeiro valor e o seu papel em casa , na sociedade e onde quer que estejam.Aqui vai o meu abraço para todas as mulheres guerreiras , queridas irmãs que lutam em casa, no trabalho, na igreja, que são verdadeiras servas, que não medem esforços pra fazerem diferença. ritish society has experienced a time when people seek to rediscover the values and traditions that made it a model and a landmark, which was

perpetuated by the world history. The United Kingdon that mixes monarchy and parliamentary to form a society of economic and culture desired and imitated by many nations to this day. But the days of glory that crowned the UK as a power between developed countries and a partnership with one of the highest level of social, cultural and economic equality are distant. And what you can see by reading newspapers, watching the news, tv programs and / or any other media is the race of a desperate people to rebuild a society that according to the British definition is broken, torn, or as they say “Broken Britain”. Almost a popular saying, Broken Britain, has been the focus of political and social debate, particularly in times of elections in which candidates for prime minister are seeking solutions to problems that are leaving the British people restless and uneasy. British are going through one of the worst economic and social crises in its history. Many believe that the society is “shattered” and arrested in a series of misfortunes such as increased crime, broken families and problematic youth behaviour. Voters are extremely pessimistic about Britain today, believing that society is completely broken and going in the wrong direction, according to the Populus survey published by The Times in February. Nearly three-fifths of voters say they hardly recognize the country they are living, while 42 percent say they would migrate to another country. According to research concerns about the pace of social change and movement are balanced by the faith that life will improve. The study suggests that 70 percent believe that society is broken, while 68 percent say that people follow the laws they are paying a high price and 82 percent believe it is time for change. Among the interviewed women, working class people and the conservative voters were more likely

The new regulations require that students below a grade level, will have limited capac-ity to work in the UK. The new rules, include the popular English courses, which have always been in high demand by Brazilians who decide to come to the United Kingdom.

A nova regulamentação vai impor que os estudantes abaixo do nível de graduação tenham capacidade limitada para trabalhar no Reino Unido. Re-gras que incluem os populares cursos de inglês, de grande procura por brasileiros que vêm para o Reino Unido.

visto de estudante acaba sendo muitas vezes o grande impasse. Seja pelo nível de exigências dos critérios ou ainda pelo alto capital a ser investido para o sucesso da aplicação do visto. É claro que essas mudanças são reflexos da crise econômica que tem castigado o Reino Unido nos últimos 2 anos, causando alto nível de desemprego, especialmente entre os jovens. Leia abaixo as mudanças mais importantes que já entram em vigor a partir do dia 03 de março de 2010:- Reduziu para metade o período de trabalho semanal permitido para o aluno que estuda algum curso abaixo do nível de graduação, incluindo curso de línguas. Agora o estudante poderá trabalhar apenas 10 horas semanais durante o período letivo, não mais as 20 horas como era até então;- Proibição de alunos que estudam em cursos de seis meses ou menos de trazer os seus dependentes para o Reino Unido;- Proibição de trabalho para os dependentes de estudantes no Reino Unido, a menos que a permissão seja em seu próprio direito sob o visto Tier 1 (work permit) para imigrantes altamente qualificado, ou mesmo como profissional qualificado sob as regras do visto Tier 2, além de atletas ou representantes de instituições religiosas;- Mudança na exigência do nível mínimo de inglês para a aplicação do visto Tier 4, com respeito a cursos de línguas. A partir de 03 de março será preciso comprovar nível mínimo B2 e não mais A2, segundo o Quadro Europeu Comum de Referência (QECR);As regras acima não se aplicam para os cursos chamados Foundation Degree, mesmo nível de graduação ou acima, e para aqueles que vem como child students por escolas independentes, excetos as crianças de 16 e 17 anos que poderiam trabalhar apenas 10 horas.

Of course, these changes are reflections of the economic crisis that has punished the United Kingdom in the last 2 years, causing high unemployment, especially among the youths.Below we can show the most important changes that will come into force from 03nd March 2010:- Reduced in half the weekly working time allowed for those who are studying any course below grade level, including language training. Now the student can only work 10 hours per week during the school year, no more 20 hours as it was before;- Prohibition for students enroled in six months courses, to bring their dependents to the United Kingdom;- Prohibition of work for the dependents of students in the United Kingdom, unless only if the permission is in its own right under the Tier 1 visa (work permits) for highly skilled immigrants, or even if it is qualified under the rules of the Tier 2 Visa, and/ or for athletes or representatives of religious institutions;Change on the requirement of minimum level of English for the visa application Tier 4, with respect to language courses. From 3rd March, it will be necessary to prove minimum level B2 and no longer A2 , according to the Common European Frame of Reference (CEFR);The above rules do not include the Foundation Degree Courses, even at the undergraduate level or above it, and for those independent children coming to the UK with independent schools, except for children 16 and 17 who could work only 10 hours.

he most important period to remember for the tax year 2009/10 is between 6th of April 2009 and 5th of April 2010.

After 5th of April 2010 you will receive a notice from HMRC about your tax return. This letter you should take to your accountant with details about your turnover, expenses and any profits made between 6 April 09 – 5 April 10, plus any additional documents such as bank statements, letters from HMRC, past returns and any other documentation about your business activities. You can then submit your tax return to HMRC and start making payments. If you are not familiar with the deadlines, HMRC can impose a fine, which you will not be happy about.IMPORTANT DEADLINES TO REMEMBER:You may receive paper tax return in case you completed last return in paper. If you are registered for online filling you will receive a letter with the headline “Notice to file”. PAPER RETURNS• HMRC has to receive filled return by 31st of

October 2010, if you are unable to submit your paper return by then, you will get fine unless following applies:

• HMRC might have sent you the notice about your return after 31st of July. In that case you will have an extra three months to send your paper return to HMRC (by 31 Jan 2010).

When you do not have relevant software to submit your return (Non-resident Companies) and therefore you have to fill return in paper or when HMRC informs you that you will not be able to submit online.

Caso você tenha enviado a contabilidade 2008/2009 no papel, esse ano você receberá o formulário em papel. Caso esteja registrado para o preenchimento on line, você receberá uma carta com o seguinte comunicado “Notificação para preenchimento do Imposto de Renda”. RETORNO DE IMPOSTO EM PAPEL O HMRC deverá receber o formulário do imposto de renda peenchido até o dia 31 de outubro de 2010. Caso não seja capaz de apresentar a sua declaração de papel até esta data, você apenas não receberá uma multa se: • O HMRC apenas lhe enviou o aviso sobre o seu retorno

após o dia 31 de julho. Nesse caso, você terá um prazo adicional de três meses para enviar o seu retorno em papel ao HMRC (até 31 de Janeiro de 2010; ou

• Quando o HMRC informa que você não será capaz de enviar o imposto de renda on-line até o dia 31 de Janeiro de 2011.
