The largest function space at the Gallery is comprised of three adjoining rooms, allowing for dynamic events. The lobby and forecourt are open spaces capable of hosting dinners, receptions and live music, while the twin marble staircases of the grand rotunda make for a natural backdrop for ceremonies and announcements.

Bathed in the natural light that streams through the rotunda’s magnificent glass dome, the ethereal ambience of the third floor exhibition space is complimented in the evening by Rosetta lights set in original floral molding. This is a special, intimate space ideally suited to boutique wedding ceremonies, cocktail parties, acoustic recitals and photoshoots.

The Rooftop Pavilion indoor and outdoor spaces feature city views of Robson Square and the Law Courts beyond.

These versatile and exclusive spaces were purpose-built as the BC Pavilion for the 2010 Winter Olympics and feature custom hand-carved sliding doors by Arnim Rodeck that recreate the city skyline.

Art Rental and Sales is a not-for-profit organization operated by the Vancouver Art Gallery. Since 1952, the program has promoted emerging and mid-career Canadian artists through the rental and sale of their artwork. All artwork in the rental program is consigned by the artists, who receive the majority of the fees collected. Remaining proceeds help fund programming at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

by the Gallery) Our comprehensive Rental and Catering Guidelines are provided by the Gallery’s Rental and Event Associate as part of the Rental Agreement. The Rental & Catering Guidelines are also available as an independent document to be shared with all vendors and caterers using the Gallery’s venue spaces. Clients must provide a complete list with contact information for all vendors and caterers on site for the event. All event related logistics including layout and delivery must be approved a minimum of 14 business days in advance of event date by the Gallery. All event photography must be approved by the Rental and Event Associate or the Event Liaison on site for the event.

Please note: The Vancouver Art Gallery reserves the right to take photos of the event and share the image via the Gallery’s social media outlets. The Vancouver Art Gallery is available for private event rentals only. Religious, political, press & media events are not permitted.
