In an organization any initiative needs to be celebrated and treasured. There shall be many other publications down the line, this one shall always remain special for the institute, the faculty and students. Vel Tech Multi Tech in its short existence of 16 years has made rapid strides towards evolving into a centre of excellence in higher technical education. The contents of this newsletter bear ample testimony to this fact. I wish the faculty, students and staff of Vel Tech Multi Tech the very best in their pursuit of the cherished ob-jectives of the institution. I hope that they will continue to bring out such

Our students have demonstrated their capabilities & brilliance by securing internship in highly reputed international organizations. Our faculty & students regularly present their research findings in various academic conferences. I am happy to mention that our college is an ISO 9001-2008 certified Institution .We have seven UG courses and seven PG courses in our College. We have excellent infrastructural facilities and laboratories with latest Equipments. We have very good facilities for sports. We have Army Girls Wing and Air Wing Boys and Girls. Many students have participated in camps and obtained ‘B’/’C’ certificates.

We have more than 200 dedicated, experienced and highly qualified faculty members. Our placements are excellent. Almost all the eligible stu-dents were placed. The Institution has grown very fast and now the student strength is more than 3500. The university results have also improved from year to year.

The Department of Biomedical Engineering has recorded consistent improvement in its academic, research,Innovations and placement perfor-mance. Through a nice blend of theoretical courses and projects, the de-partment endows students with the ability to apply knowledge of science, mathematics and engineering to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, provide leadership and technical expertise, and practice engineer-ing with ethical approaches and concern for society and environment. We urge you to make the best of the numerous opportunities the department offers. Let us strive to keep the momentum going and scale new heights in the coming years. year 2015. Vel Tech Multi tech Dr Rangarajan Dr Sakunthala Engineering
