This shredder offers numerous advantages e.g. batch wise feeding of big volumes, easy maintenance and knife replacement, effortless changing of security levels by simple screen exchange.

VECOPLAN GOES MOBILEThe VDMA Practical Days are the spot where VECOPLAN will celebrate its premier to present the VMZ 4800 to the international audience during the world leading show for environmental technology, the IFAT 2014. Customers will see the performance of this robust and strong machine during the live demo sessions. The VMZ (VECOPLAN Mobil Zerklei-nerer) is a mobile, flexible double shaft shredder which is available in 3 different versions: trailer, caterpillar or hook-lift and 4 different configura-tions: VMZ 1800 (2 x 55,000 Nm), VMZ 3600 (2x 90,000 Nm), VMZ 4800 (2 x 95,000 Nm) and VMZ 7700 (2 x 200,000 Nm).

This innovative shredding concept offers a wide range of applications: In the market of wood and biomass the VMZ is the choice for pre-shredding of demolition wood, roots and green waste. In the market of waste and recycling the applications are on household waste,

industrial or bulky waste. Different input and demands on output-sizes are the matter of respective rotor configurations.

The machines are easy to control via remote – even height adjustments on overhead belt magnet separator is possible during operation. Shredders are driven by diesel engine where worldwide service is provided. The assignment of latest hydraulic-electrical controlled drives in combination with an innovative control pro-

vides a very efficient drive system. Because of the de-sign of the bearing system rotors can quickly and easily be exchanged without having to dismount housing an hopper. The cutters are made of wear-resistant steel.

In October 2013 on the occasion of the international plastic show “K” in Düsseldorf VECOPLAN launched the V-ECO 1700 to the market experts, where it started its own story of success.

BEST PRACTISE – STORY OF SUCCESS MADE BY VECOPLAN

VECOPLAN has recently installed a “state of the art” MSW (Municipal Solid Waste) treatment plant into the metropolitan city of Edmonton – providing the largest, most advanced facility for reprocessing non-recyclable and compostable waste in North America.

Relying on VECOPLANs Process Know How and experi-ence, the client has placed the order with us, acting as the EPC contractor for the project.

Utilising VECOPLANs high efficiency VEZ re-shredders with patented HiTorc® motor drives the separated waste is converted into a high grade RDF, which will eventually be used as a fuel in Edmonton’s new Waste to Energy plant, which is also equipped with VECOPLAN systems.

Our client, the City of Edmonton, have recently taken over the commissioned plant and are delighted with the efficiency of the design and especially the high efficiency HiTorc® electrical motor drives of the new VEZ machines. Over 100,000 tonnes of segregated non-recyclable waste is handled annually through the

BAMETA GmbH, Buchloe is a high profile recycling company in the south of Germany. On the factory premises they run several complex recycling lines for different materials. Scrap metal and discarded metal are treated like the treasures they are. These raw materials get back into the loop after having been properly sorted and recycled.

The challenging task on this project has been to adjust to the different metals with best possible result on purity and quality of the product after shredding and recycling. Plant manager Christian Hein decided for a new technology to cope with this demand – he decided for a VECOPLAN shredder.

To shred the mixed materials of aluminum collection, WEEE, aluminum profiles, aluminum utensils and other electronic components he went for a VECOPLAN

shredder (VAZ 2000). This basic machine version had been amended for this new application with several innovative features, which guarantee the efficient shredding of customer’s material.

Because of the different shredding tasks and output demands the shredder has to offer a high flexibility. Other advantages which counted in favor of the deci-sion: High performance, easy remove of tramp material.

Another strong advantage that convinced Christian Hein has been the VECOPLAN drive concept HiTorc®.

In comparison to hydraulic drive systems our customer has considerable cost savings on maintenance and service of the drive system as well as energy savings on the HiTorc®. This counts even more because BAMETA GmbH is running machine in two-shift operation.
