Kaviza Client End User Quick Start Manual

This document provides step-by-step instructions on how to set up the Kaviza Java Client on your access device for easy access to Kaviza virtual desktops
The last few slides provide useful tips to resize the screen settings and perform ctrl-alt-del operations on the virtual desktop

Open a Firefox browser session Enter URL http[kMGR address]dtkavizaclientjnlp
Yoursquoll see Check the ldquoDo this automaticallyrdquo Click ldquoOKrdquo

Next you will see a Kaviza login screen
Enter your userid and password You will then be logged into your
desktop

Select ldquoNewrdquo and Select ldquoShortcutrdquo

ldquojavawsrdquo executable is located

Do NOT click on ldquoNextgtrdquo yet Enter the text

Click ldquoNextgtrdquo Type a name for the shortcut Click ldquoFinishrdquo The shortcut is created on
the desktop with the default java icon
Download the Kaviza Client icon from

Right click on the shortcut and select ldquoPropertiesrdquo
Click on ldquoChange Iconrdquo

Namerdquo entries with ldquoKavizardquo or any shortcut name of your choice
Click ldquoBrowserhelliprdquo to select the ldquojavawsrdquo binary from the JREbin directory
Do not click on ldquoOKrdquo yet

Download the Kaviza Client icon from

Click on ldquoNo iconrdquo and browse to the location containing the kavizaclientico file that you just downloaded
Click ldquoOKrdquo to close the dialog

Go to ApplicationsUtilities and open AppleScript Editor
In the AppleScript editor window type the command as shown in the screen shot

In AppleScript Editor go to ldquoFileSave Asrdquo
Select ldquoApplicationrdquo for File Format and save your Kaviza shortcut to the desktop

Double click the shortcut that you just created to launch the Kaviza Client
Yoursquoll get a security warning
Click on ldquoAllowrdquo
Yoursquoll be asked to accept the certificate
Click on ldquoTrustrdquo

Next you will see a Kaviza login screen
Enter your userid and password
You will then be logged into your desktop

Yoursquoll get a security warning
Click on ldquoAllowrdquo
Yoursquoll be asked to accept the certificate
Click on ldquoTrustrdquo

Next you will see a Kaviza login screen
Enter your userid and password
You will then be logged into your desktop
