What’s the Difference?

• Geometry R is harder than Algebra! There will be a Geometry Regents at the end of the year.

• Topics in Geometry is not as difficult as Geometry. There is NO Regents at the end of the year.

• Mathematics in Action is project based. That means instead of doing a lot of worksheets or quizzes/tests– you will learn by doing projects.

Math 11R or 11AD

• If you are in Math 11R or AD, that means you are taking the Math B Regents in June.

• You will want to listen carefully…• If you want to take Calculus in your Senior

year, you need to speak with your math teacher and see what you can do to make sure you take Math 12AD next year. You need to make sure your grades stay high!!!!!

Intro to Computers

This is a computer literacy and hands-on application course that introduces students to the architecture of today’s computer and the operations and applications of microcomputers. Topics include: operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphical user presentation software.

Computer Languages

• Students will learn the basics of computer programming languages and the features of internet programming. This course will include the learning of Visual Basic.net programming language and the use of Dreamweaver, web editing software, and HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language).(prerequisite: Intro to Computers)

COLLEGE COMPUTER sponsored by SUNY ALBANY

COLLEGE COMPUTERS 101:– Students earn 3 college credits

Prerequisites: Junior or Senior with a “B” average and 2 prior computer classes

COLLEGE COMPUTERS 102:– Students earn 3 college credits.

Prerequisites: Junior or Senior with an average grade of “B” who has taken College Computer 101.
