 Unit 1: Introduction to Sustainability  

Learning styles game activity guide   Estimated duration: 40 minutes  

Aim   • To help students to identify if their learning style isbest described as practical, 

doing, watching or thinking  

Outcome  By the end of this session, students will be able to: 

• Identify different abilities associated with different learning styles   

Resources Required Slideshow: Learning styles (alternatively, questions can be read out without showing them on the slideshow) Worksheet: Introduction to Sustainability  

Activity Description 1. Print out the the letters P,D,W and T included at the end of this sheet. Put 

one in each corner of the classroom. 2. Use the slideshow to deliver the learning styles questionnaire to the class.  3. Have students record their answers on the worksheet. They can calculate 

their scores and identify their two preferred learning styles.  4. At the end of the activity have the students move around the room to a 

corner, P, D, W or T. Have students discuss their preferred learning styles with students from other members of the group and the kinds of activities they like to do to help them learn.  

5. The student worksheet provided space for students to reflect and record details about their preferred or dominant learning styles.
