VBS MISSION PROJECT Madison UMC’s 2018 VBS mission project is to raise funds to
support the ministries of our Church family members – Todd,
Katie, Andrew, Conner, & Wesley Moody – who are serving as
missionaries in Honduras! Details about our specific project are
coming soon!
There are numerous ways YOU can help!
1. We will be collecting money each day of VBS. There will be a FUN contest between the boys & girls to see
who can raise the most MONEY! Offer to help around the house to earn extra money, use saved money,
money hiding in the couch cushions, or use your talents to make something to sell this week.
2. The Sojourners (our 5th graders) will have a CAR WASH on Thursday, June 21 from 9:00-10:30. Donations
are accepted!
3. On Thursday, June 21, our Sojourners will sell pre-paid BBQ plate lunches. Tickets will be sold on Sun-
day mornings beginning on June 10. Tickets are $10.00 each.
4. Pray for others. Pray for the volunteers, the children, & adults that are a par t of the Good Shepherd
Children’s Home & the BMDMI program as well as our VBS participants & volunteers!
5. Use your talents &gifts! God made each of us special. Use your unique talents & create something to
sell or donate for our mission this week.
6. Give your time & talents to do something good.

MADCAAP FOOD PANTRY STILL NEEDS OUR HELP!
56% of Mississippi's senior citizens don't have enough to eat , while 24% of our state's children go to bed hungry
(According to MSFN). The most vulnerable in our community must face hunger on a daily basis.
MadCAAP's Food Pantry distributes food boxes to 100 client families each week. Without fail, the need far ex-
ceeds what MadCAAP has on hand.
Your donations of food will enable MadCAAP to continue feeding our elders and our children. Putting food on a
family's table demonstrates love for our neighbors.
Won't you bring a can of vegetables or fruits, dried beans, canned meats, or cereals to insure that we can continue
feeding the hungry in our community? A donation table is located in the Fellowship Hall.
James 2:14-16
14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if
someone claims to have faith but has no
deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose
a brother or a sister is without clothes and
daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go
in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does
nothing about their physical needs, what good
is it?
