Parenting: Equipping Our Children To Face Today’s World In the Choir RoomTaught by Summers McMurray

It’s daunting to think about raising kids in today’s world. Over three weeks, we will discuss how to relationally engage with your children and, with God’s help, to shape their character to reflect Jesus and not the world in which we live.

Parenting Our Parents: Biblical Principals of Engaging with Our AgingIn B224Taught by Clay Harrington

Come for three weeks and consider some principals of caring for our aging parents and how to deal with grief. While such a topic cannot be contained in a three-week elective, be encouraged that we can become more aware of God’s grace and strength in times of weakness for many of us. All ages are welcome even those who are more experienced in life. As J. I. Packer said in his book, Finishing our Course with Joy, “…we should think of ourselves as embodied souls that are also ensouled bodies…”

Friday Morning StudyFridays during school year9:30 a.m. in the Parlor

See God’s blueprint for the Gospel unfold as we study the book of Isaiah. Called “the evangelical prophet” because of his numerous predictions of the coming Messiah and the salvation He would accomplish, Isaiah faithfully brought God’s message to a people who resisted it for more than sixty years. Although Isaiah prophesied in the decades surrounding 700 BC, the warnings and promises he issued have direct application to our lives today.
