It has the numeric value of 6, a number that denotes physical
completion.
Just as the physical world was completed in 6 days. A self
contained object has 6 directions.
Vav is the symbol for: Completion, redemption and transformation.
Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man Mda of the dust of
the ground,
Zechariah 6:12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the
LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man vya whose name is The
BRANCH;
Psalms 103:15 As for man, vwna his days are as grass:
Jeremiah 17:7 Blessed is the man rbg that trusteth in the
LORD,
Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man
anyrwpov shall not live by bread alone,
Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of
mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, aner which
built his house upon a rock:
The vav functions as our word “and” working as a conjunction
combining two words or sentences or paragraphs or chapters and
even connects books.
The absence of a vav at the beginning of a new chapter in the
torah indicates the beginning of a new era or a new subject.

The Letter VAV w w VAV
2
Exodus 1:1 Now these are the names of the children of Israel,
Exodus 1:1 And these are the names of the sons of Israel
The picture is that of a nail or a hook in the ancient Hebrew and
Vav literally means hook: w
Exodus 36:36 And he made thereunto four pillars of shittim wood,
and overlaid them with gold: their hooks ww were of gold; and he
cast for them four sockets of silver.
#2053 ww vav, a hook (the name of the sixth Heb. letter):--
hook.
Exodus 40:18 And Moses reared up the tabernacle, and fastened
his sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars
thereof, and reared up his pillars. dwme
#5982 dwme `ammuwd, a column
Exodus 26:1 Moreover thou shalt make the tabernacle with ten
curtains heyry of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and
scarlet: with cherubims of cunning work shalt thou make them.
Exodus 26:3 The five curtains heyry shall be coupled together
one to another; and other five curtains heyry shall be coupled
one to another.
#3407 heyry yer-ee-aw' - sheet
The tabernacle was the habitation of God in the wilderness and
the Torah is the habitation of His Word so a Torah scroll is
patterned after the Tabernacle.
The Hebrew word for curtain, heyry, is the same word for
sheet of parchment. And the word for pillar or a post is dwme,
is the same word for a column in a Torah scroll. Each curtain of
the tabernacle was fastened by a hook and what do we find:

In every Torah scroll there are 304,805 letters in 248 columns
on roughly 50 “curtains” per scroll. There are 42 lines (6x7) in
every column of a torah scroll with the first word in every column
beginning with a word that begins with the letter vav hooking
each column of print to a sheet of parchment! There are only 5
exceptions to this out of all those columns. As you can also see
there is an odd number of letters, 304,805. The very middle
letter (152,403rd) marking the center of the Torah or the “belly”
of the Torah is in Leviticus 11:42 and it is an enlarged Vav
connecting the two halves together!
Leviticus 11:42 Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, Nwxg and
whatsoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath more feet
among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye
shall not eat; for they are an abomination.
The only place where an enlarged vav occurs is in the belly of the
Torah and the Hebrew word is the word for belly!
In Genesis 1:1 we find the first vav is used to connect heaven
and earth and it is found at the beginning of the 6th word:
The first vav w is at the beginning of the 6th word. The first use
of the letter vav w is used to connect heaven and earth.
Revelations 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard
behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and
Omega, the first and the last:
#1. al'-fah: of Hebrew origin; the first letter of the alphabet;
figuratively, (from its use as a numeral) the first:
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God.
John is referring to Gen 1 here. Words are made up of letters.
The Hebrew alphabet is made up of 22 letters, from Aleph to
Tav. The term Aleph/Tav or ta is generally taken to represent
all the letters of the Hebrew alphabet so the sages interpret the
untranslated word ta in this verse to include all of that which
was created within heaven and earth.

Colossians 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of
darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the
forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the
firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created,
that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible,
whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:
all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all
things, and by him all things consist.
Since the vav has also become the 22nd letter written in the Torah
and “attached” to the 6th word, ta it alludes to the creative
connection between all of the letters. Vav w , is therefore the
connecting force of God, the Divine “hook” that binds together
heaven and earth.
In Genesis 1 the 4th word is the aleph tav.
Revelations 1:12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with
me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the
midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man,
clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps
with a golden girdle.
Zechariah 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon
the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of
supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced,
and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and
shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his
firstborn.
Numbers 25:7-13 And when Phinehas, oxnyp the son of
Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among
the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand; And he went after
the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through,
the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague
was stayed from the children of Israel. And those that died in the
plague were twenty and four thousand. And the LORD spake unto
Moses, saying, Phinehas, oxnyp the son of Eleazar, the son of
Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of
Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I
consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy. Wherefore say,
Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace: And he
shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an
everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and
made an atonement for the children of Israel.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and
the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be
called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting
Father, The Prince of Peace.
Phineas is a type of Messiah who’s been given a covenant of Peace.
The broken vav is the brokenness of the Messiah to achieve our
deliverance! The Vav in Hebrew is the number 6 and represents
man and here is a man that is broken.
Number 25:13 And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even
the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was
zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of
Israel.
The vav represents man and here we have a man who is broken to
bring atonement to Israel bringing in a covenant of peace and to
stop the plague of sin and death!
John 20:25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We
have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in
his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print
of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
John 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger,
and behold my hands;
hwa picture language would be Avah
Number 11:4 And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a
lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who
shall give us flesh to eat?
James 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and
cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not,
6th commandment – thou shalt not kill
As far as redemption and the letter vav - Elijah’s name appears
approximately 70 times in the tanach. 5 times Elijah’s name is
spelled with the letter vav missing.
He is the missing man at the Passover Seder we are waiting for
to bring in the long awaited redemption. On the other hand
Jacob’s name is spelled 5 times with an added vav!

Elijah’s presence among the Jewish people in the time to come
will prove that God’s presence and glory will have been restored
to Israel and restores creation as it was intended to be.
Matthew 17:11 And Yeshua answered and said unto them, Elijah
truly shall first come, and restore all things.
Ezekiel 37:9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind,
prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord
GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon
these slain, that they may live.
5 is represented by the letter hey which speaks of the breath of
God which will reanimate the nation of Israel

the son of David, the son of Abraham.
Leviticus 19:2 Speak unto all the congregation of the children of
Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: vdq for I the
LORD your God am holy. Vwdq
Genesis 1:22 And God blessed them, saying, rmal Be fruitful,
and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply
in the earth.
Genesis 48:19,20 And his father refused, and said, I know it,
my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall
be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he,
and his seed shall become a multitude of nations. Mywg And he
blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying,
rwmal God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set
Ephraim before Manasseh.

Genesis 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on
the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the
angels of God ascending and descending on it.
John 1:51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God
ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

Psalms 119:41-48 Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD,
even thy salvation, according to thy word. So shall I have
wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in
thy word. And take not the word of truth utterly out of my
mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments. So shall I keep thy
law continually for ever and ever. And I will walk at liberty: for I
seek thy precepts. I will speak of thy testimonies also before
kings, and will not be ashamed. And I will delight myself in thy
commandments, which I have loved. My hands also will I lift up
unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate
in thy statutes.
