Reason for our decision
●Much higher density torque reduction when compared to spur gears.
●Best at retaining lubrication .●Very Efficient●Creative approach to the problem.

Design Chosen
Our design, requires the 3 shafts transferring torque from the planet gears to be lifting the 8kg weight.
Ran a simulation of statics on solidworks
Largest stress was much lower than the yield stress

Mounting the planetary gear box
The ring gear will extend out and allow us to mount the gearbox through it as well as the outside housing
this will stabilize the system
Force from the the weight will create a moment into the mounting block
