The purpose this call is to . . .

• Update existing customers on the latest features in the upcoming release and solicit Beta Testers (when applicable)

• Provide a glimpse of what’s coming in new releases

• Allow unilateral and unequal bilateral tolerance zones – available in 10.1.1

• Enable linear plus minus applied to slots / tabs to include orientation as well as location variation

• Introducing supporting for angular plus minus tolerances

• May be applied to plane or hole / pin features

• Cannot be used in conjunction with any other GD&T controls

Enhanced Feature Usability

• Enhance the Feature Properties dialog to include “first”, “previous”, “next”, “last”, & “create new” buttons

• Improves navigation usability and decrease feature creation time (similar to what is in measurement operations today).

• A “Where Used?” list box containing all the operations which reference the feature

Tolerance Inactivate

• Enables tolerances to be inactivated at the part / assembly level

• Assembly / measurement operations not impacted

• Part with inactive tolerances will have a monochrome icon color

• Inactive tolerances will have a yellow tolerance annotation background

• Enable PMI extracted from JT to be updated

• Extension of existing feature reconciliation functionality

• Notification of feature geometry and/or PMI changes will be provided to user

• User will be required to take action on whether to apply the PMI change or not

• Next generation solution: increase functionality & usability

• Embed meshing & FE solving capability in Variation Analysis

• Leverage Siemens FEMAP and Nastran technology

• Eliminates need to link to FE results files

• Enables a 90% reduction in “what if” analyses that require changes to load cases / boundary conditions
