We presented the world‘s first building-integrated solar installation as early as 1999:
EVALON® Solar – a waterproofing membrane for both waterproofing and power generation at the same time.
EVALON® solar waterproofing membranes generate PV output of almost 40 MWp on more than 2,000 roofs and actively contribute

EVALON® Solar cSi - the world‘s one and only waterproofing
membrane with integrated semi-flexible crystalline PV modules
without glass - made in Europe.
EVALON® Solar cSi stands for the unique integration of globally
available robust crystalline silicon solar cells into the proven
synthetic waterproofing membrane EVALON® by alwitra.
Thanks to the patented glass fibre reinforced duromer core,
EVALON® Solar cSi not only guarantees stability and durability:
The special design without glass allows for flexible installation
on undulating or curved roof areas.

EVALON® Solar cSi is a product for building-integrated photovoltaic installations. The system can
be used for both new build and refurbishment of flat slope roofs.
Thanks to its low net weight of 3.3 kg/m2 it is also predestined for use on roofs with low load
bearing reserves.
In the area of the PV modules, the roof surface must be free of ponding water. To avoid puddles, we
recommend a minimum roof slope of 3° or 5.2 %. Curves such as arched roofs can be formed up to
a radius of 2 m in the direction of the long side of the PV modules.

The core of the building-integrated photovoltaic installation is
the multifunctional EVALON® Solar cSi waterproofing membrane
with ready-to-connect cables and Tyco Solarlok PV4-S solar plug
connectors.
In addition, we offer you a well thought-out accessory package
with a cable routing system including mounting base and cable
duct (Fig. 1).
Special cable penetrations in different versions for the water-
bearing level or the vapour barrier are available for routing the
solar cables through the roofing package:
• placed on the roof waterproofing (“kerb incl. rooflight”) for
up to 8 solar cables with optional extension sets for up to
8 solar cables each (Fig. 2)
• integrated in the roof waterproofing (“penetration collar” below
the cable duct) with 4 factory-integrated solar cables (Fig. 3)
• for airtight connection to the vapour barrier in the insulation
package for up to 8 solar cables (Fig. 4)

EVALON® Solar cSi –Flat roof and PV at work.
EVALON® Solar cSi waterproofing membranes are laid on flat
slope roofs as a single-layer roof waterproofing.
The solar waterproofing membranes are mechanically fixed to
the supporting substrate, with a longitudinal overlap.
The cable routing system is installed at the butt joints of the
EVALON® Solar cSi waterproofing membranes between the PV
connection boxes.
