TheVantageOneEntranceAwardrecognizesstudentswhodemonstratestrongacademicachievement,leadershipskills,involvementinstudentaffairsandcommunityservice.Examplesofrecognizedachievementsincludetheperformingarts,sports,debatingorcreativewriting,orexternalacademiccompetitionsandexaminations.

ELIGIBILITYCRITERIATobeconsideredfortheVantageOneEntranceAwardatUBC,theapplicantmust:• beaninternationalstudent,whoisneitheraCanadiancitizennorapermanentresidentofCanada,andwhowillbe

studyinginCanadaonaCanadianStudyPermit(visa);• beenteringtheVantageOneprogramat Vancouver campus fromarecognizedsecondaryschool;• beapplyingfortheirfirstundergraduatedegree;• beadmissibletotheprogramtheyareapplyingto,includingmeetingUBCVantageCollege’sEnglish Language

a. All applicants must satisfy the Vantage College’s English Language Admission Standard (ELAS) – seewww.vantagecollege.ubc.ca/admissions Official test scores must be sent directly to UBC’s UndergraduateAdmissions office by the testing agency and be received at UBC by February 15, 2021.
