2. TobeeligiblefortheGrandPrizeB,allentriesmustbereceivednolaterthanMarch31,2016,11:59pm(PST),throughtheonlinewebsitesnotedabove.

3. EachraceregistrationmadebyFebruary29,2016,11:59pm(PST)automaticallyearnsoneentrytowinPrizeA(withBikeHikeAdventures).

4. RaceregistrationsmadebyMarch31,2016,11:59pm(PST)automaticallyenteredtowinPrizeB(withAirFrance).

5. Entriesthatarefraudulentarenotpermittedandwillbedeclaredinvalid.Allentriesthatareincomplete,illegible,altered,mutilated,tamperedwith,submittedthroughillicitmeans,ordonotconformtoorsatisfyanyconditionoftheseContestruleswillbedeclaredinvalid.Entriesgeneratedbyascript,macroorotherautomatedmeansarevoid.AllentriesbecomethepropertyoftheVancouverInternationalMarathonSociety(“Society”)andwillnotbeacknowledgedorreturned.

6. TheContestisopentoRegisteredRunnersonlywhohasreachedtheageofmajorityintheprovince/stateinwhichtheyresidebytheendoftheContestPeriod.

7. TheContestisNOTOPENtoassociates,officers,anddirectorsoftheSociety,theiradvertisingandpromotionagencies,thesuppliersofprizesorservicesrelatedtotheContest,ortheirotherrepresentativesoragents,oranyonewithwhomanyoftheforegoingisdomiciled.

PrizeBisone(1)returneconomyairlineticketfortwo(2)adultsfromVancouverInternationalAirporttoEuropewithAirFrance.TheseEconomyClassticketsmustbeissuedbyDecember20,2016,andmustbeusedbeforeFebruary29,2017(thelastreturndate).Noextensionshallbegrantedandticketsaresubjecttoavailabilityatthetimeofbooking.TheseticketsarefortravelfromVancouvertoEuropeonAirFrance.Black-outdatesarefromDecember10,2015,toJanuary15,2017.NostopoverallowedinParis,unlessParisisfinaldestination.Theseticketsdonotallowbookinginahigherclassoftravelforafee.Theseticketsareforpersonaluseonlyandmustbeusedsimultaneouslybytwopersons,onebeingthewinner.Resaleoftheseticketsisstrictlyforbidden.

Intheeventualitythatthewinnerresidesinacitythatrequirestransportationtoourdeparturecities,thecostsassociatedtothetransportationarethewinner’sentireresponsibility.Alltraveldocumentationthatmayberequired(visa,passports,etc.)arethewinner’sresponsibilityandmustbeobtainedpriortodeparture.TheSocietystronglyrecommendsthepurchaseoftravelinsurance.Taxesincludingdestinationandairporttaxesaswellasfuelsurchargearenotincludedintheprizeandaretheresponsibilityoftheprizewinner.Theymustbepaidattimeofbooking.Thewinnerandaccompanyingtravelermusthavethesamedepartureandreturndatesontheflighttickets.

THECONTESTDRAW

15. Allcurrent2016raceregistrationsandareeligibleforbothPrizeAandB16. TheContestwinnerforPrizeAwillbedrawnfromeligibleentriesonMarch1,2016,

at3pm(PST).17. TheContestwinnerforPrizeBwillbedrawnfromeligibleentriesonApril4,2016,at

3pm(PST).18. Followingthedraw,theselectedentrantswillbecontactedattheemailaddressor

telephonenumberindicatedontheEntryBallot.19. Inordertobedeclaredawinner,theentrantmust:

a. Respondtotheprizenotificationemailortelephonecallwithin48hoursoftransmission(ifanyselectedentrantcannotbereachedwithin48hoursfromthetimeofinitialcontact,analternativeentrymaybeselected);

b. Correctlyanswer,unaided,atime-limited,mathematicalskill-testingquestion;and

c. SigntheSociety’sstandarddeclarationwhichstates,amongotherthings,thathe/she:

i.hasread,understandsandcomplieswiththeContestrules;

ii.releasesanddischargesSocietyanditsparents,subsidiariesandaffiliates,thesuppliersofprizesorservicesrelatedtotheContest,andtheirrespectiveadvertising,promotionandproductionagenciesandotheragentsorrepresentatives

iii.consentstotheannouncementofthewinner'snameandtheusebyoronbehalfofSocietyofthewinner'sname,address,photograph,likeness,voiceorstatementsforadvertisingandpromotionalpurposeswithoutanyfurthercompensationtothewinner.

20. Shouldthedeclaredwinnernotagreetothedeclarationabovewithin5daysofbeingselected,theapplicableprizewillbeautomaticallyforfeitedandanotherentrantwillbeselectedbyrandomdraw.

21. Iftheentrantisunabletotravel,theprizemaybetransferredandrulesapplytothetransferredrecipient.

22. Thechancesofwinningdependuponthenumberofeligibleentriesreceived.

ByenteringtheContest,participantsconsenttotheSociety’scollection,useanddisclosureofthepersonalinformationprovidedinContestentriesfortheadministrationoftheContestandinaggregated,non-personalforminordertocreatereportsregardingContestentrantdemographicsandconsumerhabits,whichreportsSocietymaydisclosetoothersand/oruseforfurtherpromotionalpurposes.

DISCLAIMERANDLIABILITYEXCLUSION

24. TheSociety,thesuppliersofprizesorservicesrelatedtotheContest,andtheirrespectiveadvertising,promotionandproductionagenciesandotheragentsorrepresentativeswillnot,underanycircumstances,beresponsiblefor,orliabletoanyContestentrantoranyotherpersonfor:

a. anyerroneous,lost,damaged,late,incomplete,misdirected,falsified,deleted,defective,oralteredContestentries,regardlessofthecause;

b. anyfailureforanyreasonwhatsoeveroftheselectedentranttoreceiveaprizenotificationemail;

c. anychangesinemailaddressesoremailaddressassignmentsafterContestentryformsaresubmitted;

d. anycomputer,online,telephone,ortechnicalmalfunctionsorerrorsthatmayoccur,regardlessofthecause;or

e. anydamageorloss,includinganylossofuse,lossofproduction,lossofprofits(anticipatedorotherwise),lossofmarkets,economicloss,special,indirectorconsequentiallossordamageorpunitivedamages,whetherincontract,tortorunderanyothertheoryoflaworequity,arisingfrom,connectedwith,orrelatingtotheContestorthesubmissionofentriestotheContestorparticipationintheContestortheContestprize,)andregardlessofthecauseoranynegligencebySocietyoranyoneforwhomtheSocietyisresponsible,andnotwithstandingthattheSocietymayhavebeenadvisedofthepossibilityofsuchlossordamagebeingincurred.

OTHERMATTERS

25. IfforanyreasontheContestisnotcapableofbeingconductedasintendedbytheSociety,includingduetocomputerviruses,bugs,tampering,unauthorizedintervention,fraud,technicalfailures,oranyothercausethatcorruptsorinterfereswiththeadministration,security,fairness,integrityorproperconductoftheContest,theSocietymay,atitssolediscretion,disqualifyanyentrantresponsibleforsuchmisconductandcancel,terminate,modify,orsuspendtheContest.

26. CAUTION:ANYATTEMPTTODELIBERATELYDAMAGEANYWEBSITEORINTERFEREWITHTHELEGITIMATEOPERATIONOFTHECONTESTMAYBEAVIOLATIONOFCRIMINALANDCIVILLAWS,ANDTHESOCIETYRESERVESTHERIGHTTOSEEKDAMAGESAND/OROTHERRELIEFFROMALLRESPONSIBLEPERSONSTOTHEFULLESTEXTENTPERMITTEDBYLAW.

27. Returnofanyprizenotificationemailasundeliverablemayresultindisqualification,andanalternatewinnermaybeselected.

28. DecisionsofContestjudgesinrespectofanyaspectoftheContestarefinalandbindingonallentrants.

29. ParticipationintheContestconstitutesacceptanceandagreementtotheseContestrules.

30. TheSocietyreservestheright,attheiroption,topublishthewinner'sname,address,photograph,likeness,voiceorstatementswithoutanyfurthercompensationtothewinner.

31. TheContestissubjecttoallapplicablefederal,provincialandlocallawsandisvoidwhereprohibitedbylaw.Ifanyprovisionoftheserulesisfoundbyanycourtofcompetentjurisdictiontobeunenforceable,allotherprovisionswillremaininfullforceandeffect.
