VALENZA AND ITS HISTORY

Valenza is a district of about 20.500 inhabitants, situated in Piedmont, in the province of Alessandria, one hour far from Turin.

It is situated in the final part of the Monferrato’s hills.

Valenza stands on the orographic right of the river Po and it’s famous for its economy based on the local craftsmanship and the

production of gold jewelry.Like all the cities and all the countries, Valenza too celebrates the

Patron Saint and its one is celebrated on July, the 25th .

PLACES TO VISIT

In Valenza, in addition to the historical centre, we can admire:-The church of Santa Maria Maggiore, commonly called Duomo.-The church L’Annunziata.-The church of Santa Caterina.

Apart from all the churches, Valenza has a zoological garden located inMontevalenza. It’s little but it has a big variety of animals and it’sideal for children and families.

Nearby there is the excellent restaurant of the thermal baths

and also a little hotel where you can lodge.

Obviously also Valenza has a theatre, the Social Theatre , ex prestigious theatre completelyrenewed. It’s got a little cinema room where films for adults and children are often projected at a bargain price.

The theatre is located in Corso Garibaldi that is the main street of the town and is connected to the main square.Now this fantastic theatre is used for shows and theatrical performances.

-Carla Vote: 6Judgement: Valenza is a very populated city. I love shopping, but, unfortunately , I’m not happy with the shops the city offers. In my opinion shops should sell items of better quality and with lower prices

-Federica Vote: 8Judgement: Valenza is the country I prefer, I think that there’s nothingto be changed.

-Caterina Vote: 7Judgement: Valenza is full of green areas where I can let my dog play, but I recommend adding more areas for animals.

OUR REVIEWS

-Giulia: In my opinion Valenza is a very big city, very colorful, with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and it is a city suitable for all the ages.

-Aurora: Valenza is a very cultural city, you can admire a lot of historical monuments. An advice that I can give is to open more shops.

-Cristina: Valenza is a very beautiful city for guys because there are a lot of green areas and gardens where you can spend your days with your friends. An example of gardens can be CAI or Camurati.

-Camilla: Valenza is a city with a lot of green areas, as Cristina said before. The shops aren’t many but they are well stocked. Besides you can also find different gyms and sports centres where you can train yourself.

-Elisabetta: Valenza is a city with a lot of people, things and areas for all. An advice that I want to give is to add more places for teens.

Being Valenza visited by a lot of tourists, it has got some hotels and b&b (bed and breakfast), comfortable to reach the center in a few minutes

-CASCINA SAN GIORGIO: located a few kilometers from the center, it has a play area for children, a spectacular view of the main garden and the possibility of free transportation for travelers to and from the airport.
