SHOPPA APP

USES OF THE APPwho?Workers and busy people or maybe someone who lives a while from a certain shop.

What?Mums or workers who are busy and have no time to waste.

When?Anytime of any day the app would be available.

Where? In the users local area or any area.

why?So people don’t waste there time going to shops that are shut.

Your in a rush for work and realise you need to go your local asda for dinner for your children’s pack lunches.Its 8am.You get in the car and eventuallypull up outside.Its shut.This means a late mum for work and hungry children.

A PROBLEM!

Have you ever been in this situation or even if you need to do some last minute shopping of a night for maybe a party or event?

Problem question!

• Just simply type in your area on the app you’ve downloaded ‘Shoppa’, and the name of the shop you like. It will ask you if this is your local and will tell you if its open or closed and the times. If its shut it will mention local suggestions.

This app would help you in the previous situations!

Our team!

• Our team (Valens una) is helping each other make a way for this to not happen. We want to create this app of solving the issue of getting to a shop and it being closed. This will help avoid disappointment and a loss of time.

User knowledge!

• Busy mums – they would use it because I know lots of parents have the issue of little time to waste.• Teenagers- I know they would use it because with

research a lot of people have been in the situation were they need

something to wear last minute and don’t know what shops will be open.

Just eat app!• This shows all food places in Liverpool and the

times. There are to sections if you clicked ‘open’ it would show you what food shops are open. If you have a favourite type it in and it will come up with times

• This doesn’t compare to ours because its just for food. We want it too be all shops.

“I have three young sons, and cant afford a baby sitter right now! I need to find the closest shops in my area that don’t close early!”

MVP FlowThe three main subjects of our app is the shop finder, the personal maps and the opening times information.

Our user feedback was that we did a questionnaire of 100 mums in the local area. Over 81% of them said that the app would be very useful for them and they would use it nearly everyday! They also said that the app would help there personal life as it would give them more time. Young mum Emily said “I have two young sons now and I just do not have the time to go to the shops anymore! This app would really help with that, I think it’s a great idea!”

Using the search bar you can search for whatever shop you want and a list will come up of all the different stores for that shop for example if you searched ASDA, you would be returned with the closest ASDA to your postcode. From this you can then see what days the shop is open by looking at the calendar.

Also, using the calendar you can see what days the shop is completely cosed.

The app has a map where you can see how close the actual shop is and how many miles away the shop is. The map also gives you an estimated amount of time it would take to get there.

If your shop is shut it gives you another option for the next closest ASDA.

Data and content

• I have learned that planning to use data widely can seem more difficult then it sounds.

• For example saying you only need data from 20 shops when in reality you would have to visit them 20 shops.

• Also making the app presentable is a lot more hard work as you have to choose appropriate colour schemes.

Business!

• We asked people that we know “would you be willing to pay”. We had feedback like “for 1 pound you can’t go wrong” and “if it helps me and makes life easier, yes”.

• There are probably more than 1000 people in one area who have the

situation and love to shop. If the app cost 1 pound that would be 1000 pound made.

Getting users…

To get our app out we would tell locals about the app and encourage them to download this would make it social and easy. Also we could get the shops who are taking part to advertise.

Wildcard!

We presented our app idea to a professional. We had great feedback and he told us how we can make our work better and easier to create. We have analysed our work and now improved it and we hope its better
