Vaisala Air Quality Transmitter AQT420 for Measuring Pollution Gases and Particles

Vaisala Air Quality Transmitter AQT420 revolutionizes measuring air quality. It is a cost effective, compact solution to monitoring air quality and meteorological data. AQT420 is an air quality transmitter that measures up to four most common gaseous pollutants such as nitrogen dioxide (NO2), nitrogen monoxide (NO), sulphur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen sulphide (H2S), and ozone (O3) and weather data, such as humidity, air pressure and temperature, plus particles (PM2.5 and PM10) in the ambient air. The measurement data will be sent wirelessly to a web-based database or available locally via a serial interface.

Features

▪ Measures up to four most common air pollutants (eg. VOC, CO, CO2, NO, NO2, SO2, H2S and O3)

▪ Measures particles (PM2.5 and PM10)

▪ Basic meteorological variables including temperature, humidity and barometric pressure

▪ Extremely compact, low-cost and elegant design

▪ Low power consumption (typically 0.5W)

▪ Wireless Internet connection via an optional integrated 2/3G modem

▪ RS232 and RS485 interfaces for local connectivity (eg. Modbus support)

▪ Easy integration and open API

Small and elegantly designed, AQT420 is excellent for monitoring air quality in urban areas and around industry. It is the first air quality transmitter for ambient air. AQT420 is an identical unit to Vaisala Air Quality Transmitter AQT410 with the addition of a particle counter.

The gas measuring is based on proprietary advanced electrochemical technology that enables ppb measuring at an affordable price. The gas analysis module compensates the impact of ambient conditions on the sensor elements with sophisticated algorithms and active temperature control to achieve performance that is far better than that of competitors. AQT420 is calibrated at the factory for a period of 12-24 months.
