Liquid-ring vacu- um pump needs no cooling water

ECO-Seal is a new design of recirculation system from Graham Precision Pumps which uses lubricant rather than water as a seal fluid. This eliminates the need for a constant supply of water (supplied at 15C ideal- ly) to pull and maintain the desired level of vacuum demanded by a conventional liq- uid ring pump installation. Even if a full recovery system is used, water sealed pumps require water to make up for the liquid temperature in the circuit. ECO- Seal systems use ambient air as the cooling source.

ECO-Seal systems are sup- plied as complete self-contained units pre wired and ready for operation with a choice of accessories to enable cus- tomised designs to be supplied.

It offers increased capacity at high vacuum due to the low

vapour pressure characteristics of the lubricant seal fluid. This reduces the power require- ments and so the running costs. The system is highly reliable with only one moving part, the impeller shaft assembly, and requires a minimum level of maintenance. The seal fluid requires replacement after approximately 10000 hours of continuous or intermittent oper- ation in most cases. Solids-handling sewage pumps ideal for waste and pollution control

Crane Deming offers a durable line of solids-handling/sewage pumps for mounting in a horizon-

tal or vertical position. Series 7100 end-suction centrifugal pumps are available in sizes from 4 to 12 inch discharge, handling l-1/2 through 6 inch spheres. Capacities extend to 8000 US gal/min and heads to 240 m.

Back pull-out construction permits bearing frame, stuffing box and rotating assembly to be removed from casing for easy service without disturbing pip- ing connections. Ideal for pump- ing sanitary wastes, industrial wastes, storm water, process wastes and pollution control.

WFI system offers full traceability for bio-pharma- ceutical applications

Tri-Clover has announced the availability of a specially designed CL Series centrifugal pump with optional WFI system. Along with other pumps in the CL Series, the Tri-CloverWFI pump is equipped with special design features and manufacturer services, including pump traceability, that make it particularly suitable for bio-phar- maceutical applications.
