Program ObjectiveThe core objectives of this program is to secure the
livelihoods of rural poor and vulnerable communities by building and enhancing their
adaptive capacity to better cope with adverse impacts of climate change and improve their disaster preparedness.

This is a multi-stakeholder programme involving International and National level Consortium partners
International ConsortiumInternational Consortium
• INFRAS and Inter Cooperation (IC) represent
International consortium has a backstopping
(advisory) role and will provide services on
the basis of demands from SDC.

National ConsortiumNational Consortium
• MSSRF has been chosen as the lead agency for this program
along with the National level partners AFPRO (Action for Food
Program) and MANAGE (National Institute of Agricultural
Extension Management) from Hyderabad. The above three
agencies are part of the National Consortium.

Role of AFPRORole of AFPRO
• In this, V&A Programme AFPRO’s areas of
work will be grassroots level and community
level implementation of programme activities,
connecting research and people, bringing
people’s perspective into research, cooperate
with grassroots level NGOs, CBOs, State
level institutions, etc.
