An exhibition with various charts on production and protection technologies for various crops was arranged

Th. Parthban, Agrl. Officer explained the various schemes available in the Dept. of Agriculture for the benefit of farmers

Tmt. K.P.Jayabharathi & V. Umamaheswari Agrl. Officers in Mobile Soil Testing Lab explained the importance of Soil Testing and procedure for soil sampling

Tmt. Valamathi, Asst. Director of Horticulture explained the various schemes in Horticulture department for the benefit of farmers

Th. K.P.R. Ganesan Asst. Cane Inspector, E.I.D Parry Sugar Factory explained the importance of SSI in Sugarcane for achieving higher yields in cane

Success story: Th. K.Ramesh of Nadayanur village explained how he achieved very high yield in rice by growing Hybrid Rice adopting all package of practices recommended by the Department of Agriculture

Dr.G.Gajendran, Professor & Head, Department of Plant Protection, ADAC&RI, TNAU, Trichy emphasised the need for Integrated Pest Management in various crops for reducing the pesticide load and to supply residue free food stuff to the consumers. He explained the various IPM tools, their availability and method of use for achieving desired pest control

Cultural Programme was organised at the end in which various welfare schemes for farmers were explained

A delicious meals was arranged by the Dept. for all the participants
