The Business Logistics Development Association LLC ("ARBL") was established in 2009 in order:

to support the development of the transportation and trade logistics; to develop conditions for the organisation of training and qualification

development for specialists in the field of the transportation and trade logistics;

to develop proposals on the enhancement of the legislation focused on improving legal and economic conditions for the exercise of business;

to create conditions for the development and practical application of achievements of the industrial, trade, information, transportation, warehousing, management logistics, and other forms of logistics in Uzbekistan.

Currently, 25 companies and organisations are Associate Members of ARBL.

Training and Qualification Development of the National Capacity in Fundamentals of the International Transportation Law (Project partner: OSCE).

Need for Creating the Transportation Information and Logistics Portal

The lack of a unified information database of applicable legislative acts andregulations in the field of transportation and logistics;

The lack of a region-wide search system and information database of theexisting companies and organisations that offer transportation andtransportation/forwarding services with a list of services offered and basictariff rates;

The lack of the updatable information about the availability of vehicles;

The lack of the information database about the availability of finishedproducts, their type and end recipients.

Project Objective and Goals

The Project objective is to create a single Transportation Information and Logistics Internet Portal for transportation companies (hauliers) and entrepreneurs (cargo owners).

The goal of the project is to reduce the share oftransportation and logistics costs in the cost of productsimported from or exported to the principal markets byensuring the efficient use of transport corridors andvehicles.

Information Portal

The portal is a unified information database of transportationand forwarding companies, including the information about thecargo availability and cargo transportation opportunities.

The portal is the rapid and efficient means of the exchange ofinformation on the cargo transportation market among hauliers,forwarders, cargo owners and consignors.

All catalogues and information offered at the portal are alsoavailable in English.

ForumThe forum is a platform for the exchange of professional

experience and opinions among players of the cargo transportation market. They also can find a job or personnel,

and warn colleagues about mala fide partners.

GlossaryThe glossary offers definitions of basic terms needed for foreign

trade transactions and the international cargo transportation.

Road Atlas — a road map for the driver

The Atlas has become one of the elements of the modern multi-purpose transportation and transit infrastructure of Uzbekistan with the direct impact in the form of the improved efficiency of the operation of intermodal logistic centres in Uzbekistan.

The Uzbekistan Road Atlas contributes to the further development of the transportation and transit potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the attraction of new cargo streams, the increase in exports of transportation services, and the provision of extra convenience for drivers.

The atlas enhances the transit competitiveness of the national motor roads by making them more attractive for international road hauliers.

Атлас автомобильных дорог -Маршрутная карта водителя

An important feature of the Driver's Roadmap is the indication of road infrastructure objects with detailed descriptions and location data.

This information can be interesting not only for drivers, but also for tourists and entrepreneurs.

The Roadmap can be used by entrepreneurs designing and building new road infrastructure and service facilities along main international roads and creating new jobs in the process.

3. Co-operation within the CAREC Federation of Carrier and ForwarderAssociations, TRASECA and other regional organisations.

Co-operation with TRASECA

1. The portal can become a platform for the co-operationbetween CAREC and TRASECA programs by providingentrepreneurs with the single point-of-contact access tointegrated information databases of:

- hauliers, forwarders and cargo owners;- laws and regulations;- trade and transit development projects and initiatives.

2. The development of Interactive Roadmaps for drivers fromCAREC and TRASECA countries with the indication ofroad infrastructure facilities along East-West and North-South transportation corridors.
