Project Management Diploma, Class of 2015

Contract Manager-Team Lead, SkipTheDishes

“My experience with PACE has been a wonderful journey of learning and application.

PACE helped me in the best manner possible; especially, the staff and the instructors.

They helped me to become comfortable within a new culture, and settle in Canada.”

ALEXANDRA ACEVEDO ARTECHE, COLUMBIA

Network Security, Class of 2016

Information Security Analyst, Great-West Life

“I researched a number of Canadian programs, but was attracted to PACE’s Network

Security Diploma because it was condensed, and enabled me to earn a Management Certificate

at the same time. Winnipeg offers immigrants more opportunities, such as a one-year

employment permit, which allowed me to gain Canadian work experience.”

TRACELYN CORNELIUS, ANTIGUA & BARBUDA

Public Relations, Marketing & Strategic Communication, Class of 2016

Communications Officer, Manitoba First Nations Education Resource Centre

“I was a publicist and journalist in the Caribbean, so had many years of experience in marketing

and communications. The Public Relations, Marketing & Strategic Communication program

allowed me to quickly acclimatize to a new job market after moving to Canada.”

TAIWO OLABODE KEHINDE, NIGERIA

Project Management, Class of 2016

Business Analyst, Mantioba eHealth

“I wanted a more hands-on program, and that is what attracted me to come to here.

My training at PACE gave me the full Canadian experience, which I was able to

leverage in securing a good job.”

LINCOLN AMEMIYA, BRAZIL

Financial Management, Class of 2016

Financial Analyst, Loblaws

“I wanted to gain international experience, and researched many places before selecting

the PACE program. It was a perfect fit for me, very hands-on and up-to-date. We were also

exposed to visiting professionals from the financial sector and really experienced instructors.”

How We Are DifferentPACE offers professional and applied post-degree level programs to those who want to focus their education on specialized career fields in high growth employment sectors. Our graduates enjoy a high employment rate, and successful alumni identify the comprehensive nature of PACE full-time programs as a key factor to their success.

THE PACE ADVANTAGE

The PACE competitive advantage results from our high academic standards, incredible team of instructors, and industry-aligned

HEART OF CANADAWinnipeg is located in the heart of Canada and is known

for its vibrant artistic and festival scene. With more than

half of Manitoba’s population, Winnipeg is home to ethnic

groups from all over the globe—more than 100 languages

are spoken. Here you can experience all four distinct

seasons while exploring all that the Manitoba outdoors

have to offer: scenic lakes and rivers, vast landscapes,

and wildlife.

WORKING IN WINNIPEG

› International students can work if they hold a valid

study permit. That includes on and off-campus

opportunities. There are also opportunities to stay

and work in Winnipeg or Canada after graduation.

Visit cic.gc.ca for more information.

› For more information on the Manitoba Provincial

Nominee Program (PNP), visit immigratemanitoba.com

› Winnipeg is expected to have strong employment

growth, with approximately 4,900 new jobs created

every year (2012–2035).*

› Increased immigration is important to support

Winnipeg’s growing labour force.*

Life in WinnipegWHAT TO EXPECT

› Winnipeg is one of the most affordable places to

live in Canada.

› There are events for everyone year-round, and a very

active and thriving arts and cultural community.

› On any given weekend one can easily find something

fun to do, from taking in our world-class Human Rights

Museum (opened in 2014), to attending our world-famous

Folk Festival (July).

› The average cost of rent in Winnipeg is about $900/monthly

for a one-bedroom apartment off-campus. There is also

on-campus housing, which is about $500/monthly for a studio.

› Getting around Winnipeg is very easy, with an expansive

transit service—or if you prefer to drive, there is ample parking.

› Manitoba has so much to offer. If you are adventurous and

wish to ‘road-trip’ around Manitoba, you can drive to pristine

forests, foothill mountains, beautiful lakes, sandy beaches,

and even a desert within a few hours’ drive from the city.

› Bringing your family? Winnipeg is a wonderful, safe,

and multi-cultural environment in which to raise children.

Spouses can work, daycare costs are provincially

subsidized, and you will have access to Canada

Universal Health Care for free.

› Winnipeg has a population of 800,000. The top three

ethnic groups in Winnipeg are Filipino, Indian, and Chinese.*
