Add live singing by alumnus and UWO assistant voice professor Nathan Krueger ’88, a baritone. Mix in some visual art. The result: A performance to captivate the senses. The UWO duo presented cmetq (Communication Etiquette), which examines the etiquette of communication technology during two time periods, for the first time Saturday at the Arts and Communication Center’s Music Hall. A third collaborator, Alejandro Casazi, of British Columnbia, contributed the visual art. The unique performance— set in the dawn of the telephone age and the adolescence of social media— combined soliloquies and Tweet-length texts. Watch the video to experience cmetq. As an undergrad, he studied violin performance at UWO. “It is wonderful to be back on campus after 20 years,” he said. “My education at UW Oshkosh set me up for everything I never knew I would do.” Jette earned a master’s of music degree from the New England Conservatory and a doctorate in composition from the University of California Santa Barbara.
