USER MANUAL Connecting to the wireless network (Wi-Fi) Eduroam using Microsoft Windows (8.1)
This manual describes how to connect to the wireless network Eduroam (Wi-Fi) using the Microsoft Windows 8.1 operating system. This manual can also be used to set up eduroam on your laptop using Microsoft Windows 8.0, but screenshots may differ. Provided by: ITS – Support Version: 2015-02-02

What should you do? Screenshot Step 1. Switch to your Desktop. Right-click on the start button, en select “Network connections”.
Step 2. Double click on “WiFi”.
Don’t get the blue screen (see step 3)? Double click the Wi-Fi icon below in your taskbar (next to the clock).
Step 3. Click on ‘eduroam’.

Step 4. Check the box “Connect automatically” and click on the “Connect” button.
Step 5. Enter your Solis-id, followed by @soliscom.uu.nl ( e.g. [email protected] ) and password. Click on OK.
Step 6. You are now connected to the wireless network Eduroam. Please note: sometimes, after a reboot, you’ll have to reconnect manually again to eduroam. Make sure you check the box “Connect automatically” (see step 4).
