Tablets and laptops can be used to read stories from and have stories be read to children
Apps and games can teach letter recognition and word learning
Tikatok StorySpark, Tales2Go, TouchyBooks, and MeeGenius are a few great apps to help children begin reading
Tape recorders, books on tape, and whiteboards are other technologies that may be used to teach reading to children
Writing:
Tablets, whiteboards, Smartpens, and word processors are some of a few technologies that help children learn to write
Apps like Reading Rocket, Writing Prompts for Kids, and Bogga Alphabet are just a few apps that help children learn new letters and words
Lined paper, pencil grips, and letter blocks are other less modern technologies to promote writing
Teaching Science and Math Through Technology Science:
Teach lessons using games, apps, and videos
Apps and games can teach experimental thoughts and ideas
Apps such as Sea Life, the NASA app, Gazziliscience are great apps that teach about different science topics
telescopes, microscopes, barometers, thermometers, and many more tools are also great technologies for children to learn science with!
Math:
Math problems, strategies, and concepts taught using apps, games, videos, and walkthroughs
Apps and games teach children the concepts that are not as easy when taught by teacher
Great apps include: Kids Math, Counting Caterpillar, Crazy Time Tables, and many many more
Calculators, laptops, Wolfram, blocks, and rules are just some of the different technologies that may be utilized to better understand math!

Provide a large variety of old and new devices/machines
Tie it into all learning areas
Make it part of the classroom community
Allow both independent investigations as well as collaborative work
