•People SEARCH FOR information about what they want

•People APPLY for positions they want

•Agencies SELECT (“hire”) people that fit

You only want to read those that fit yourinterests, skills and availability.

You enter “filters” (also called criteria or preferences).

EXAMPLE: ◦ medical field◦ weekends◦ no more than 10 miles from my home

When you use filters, it “refines” the search and gives you only those that fit for you.

Read the title of each volunteer position. Click on each position that interests you. You’ll get more information about the

position and how to apply.

Find a position you want. Apply on-line or contact the agency directly. They will usually interview you. You can also ask questions of them. If it’s a good fit, you’re “hired”!
