Blue and green growth

blue growth addresses the economic potential of the

Baltic Sea for growth and jobs across the shores of the

South Baltic.

green growth underlines the need to pursue the path

of economic growth in balance with the environment,

in particular by utilising South Baltic’s rich natural and

cultural heritage in a sustainable and preserving

manner.

Greifswald and district-free city (kreisfreie Stadt):

Rostock;

▪ in Lithuania: counties of Klaipėda, Tauragė and

Telšiai;

▪ in Poland: subregions of: Miasto Szczecin,

Szczeciński, Stargardzki, Koszaliński, Słupski,

Starogardzki, Gdański, Trójmiejski and Elbląski;

▪ in Sweden: counties of: Kalmar, Blekinge, Skåne

and Kronoberg.

2nd seed money call

▪ The call was open between 10th and 30th January 2017 for specific

objectives 3.1 and 4.1;

▪ 11 proposals submitted – 8 selected for funding;

▪ 4 ideas for sustainable transport and 4 for skills development will

supported

▪ For Skills: Train LNG, QUISST, SB Bridge, SEAPLANSPACE

▪ Planned ERDF amounts of 255.421,76 EUR in total;

▪ The implementation period for approved seed money projects will

be March - June 2017 and for those aiming at the 5th call – August-

November 2017.
