• Good introduction to using shared online documents and editing them as a class group.

• Helps you get to know your class and allows to pupils to get to know each other better too.

• The children add three things to the sentence individually.

• As things are added they become visible to the whole class.

Preparation for trips – All Subjects

• Children can use a document to suggest questions that can be answered whilst out on the trip.

• They can also collaborate the information they already have about where they are going

ICT Buddies – All subjects

Sharing work produced with a specific buddy to encourage and feedback good and improvement comments.

This can be for any type

of document and on any

subject.

Spread sheets - Science

• Data collection • Small groups or the whole

class can share one document.

• Clear results improve accuracy.

• Patterns in the results can be recognised during the lesson.

• Spread sheets allow data to be changed into various graphs.

These are just some of the ways Google Docs can be used in the classroom.

All of these ideas can be adapted depending on the subject and age range you are teaching.
