• Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) is a national NGO mandated to strive for thenational NGO, mandated to strive for the gender equality and advancement of all women, protect and promote legitimate rights and interests of women.
• VWU’s programs in 2002-2007 focus on: (1) Raising all sided capacity and qualifications
for women; (2) Supporting women's economic development(3) Building plentiful, equal, progressive and

gender equality related laws and policies.
Introduction of Ninh Binh Province• The Ninh Binh province is located
in the Red River Delta in theNorth of Vietnam. The provinceNorth of Vietnam. The provinceconsists of 6 districts and 2towns, 147 rural communes andurban wards. The population isalmost 1 million people, 2% ofwhich is of ethnic minority groups.

• The Women’s Union of Ninh BinhProvince (WUNB) has more than 2000local units in all 147 communes, all,governmental authorities and almostenterprises in the province.
• WUNB organises women’s movements and conducts various types of measuresand conducts various types of measures and activities, of which:+ Organising clubs, lectures, seminars and study tours for women with aims to i k l d j ti iimprove knowledge on justice issues, gender equality. + Building capacity of trainers and social workers for women’s movement.+ Promoting technical transfer to women. Supporting job creation for women. + Establishing and managing system of women’s savings credit groupswomen s savings–credit groups. + Promoting women’s participation in political, social and cultural activities.

• To analyse economic, socialaspects of women’s life.
• To identify prioritised issuesand actions for promotingdevelopment of householdeconomy, women’s educationeconomy, women s educationand participation in socialactivities, improving genderequality.

ConclusionsConclusions • CBMS is an appropriate method for collecting information of human well-being, including women g, gadvancement. Thank it’s simplicity of data collection, involvement of local human resources and multidimensional measurement of development CBMSmultidimensional measurement of development, CBMS is an useful tool for monitoring poverty reduction, human development and women advancement.
