How AgilePLM Supports MGates/PLM Item Lifecycle vs. Product Lifecycle
• In general, item lifecycles should run well in advance of the Product Lifecycle.
• All items on the Bill of Materials and sub-assemblies should be at the “Production” lifecycle phase prior to the Product being promoted to the “Pilot” lifecycle phase.
• Initial required parts qualification and environmental compliance activities at least 30 days prior to the product entering the “Pilot” lifecycle phase.
• Product Readiness Report can be used to monitor the status of all items on the Bill of Materials for a product.
