Download the LandPKS mobile app for Android or iOS• Register a Gmail address to use the LandPKS app and access

your data on the Data Portal at LandPotential.org• Note: LandPKS does not have access to your Gmail login;

Google independently authenticates your account

Click the + to create a new site*• Name your first site and obtain the GPS coordinates• Report tab: view possible soils under Soil ID*Or click on the Map to view possible soils without creating a site.

Enter data in the Data Input tab• LandInfo: record slope, texture, color for Soil ID• LandCover: 20-min vegetation monitoring with a yard/meter stick• SoilHealth: plan and track plantings, weed and pest management,

and erosion control; track sensory observations

Save your data• Click “synchronise now” at the top of the data input screen• Connection required for SoilID, but not other calculations

View data and results in the Report tab• LandInfo: infiltration rates and water-holding capacity of your soil• Land Capability Class: determine LCC based on your Soil ID• LandCover: calculated and graphed vegetation data• LandManagement & SoilHealth: generate a PDF-report• Habitat: compare species’ habitat with your data
