1. Introduction

About this Manual1.

Scope1.1

This Software User’s Guide aims to provide slot attendants and technical personnel with detailed information how to operate the Master ROULETTE™ game software. It describes the game screen, how to play, payout-, limit- and handpay procedures and provides an functional overview of Service Menu and Au-dit Menu.

This manual does not describe how to configure the gaming machine and it does not describe the Service Menu and the Audit Menu in detail.

This manual also does not describe hardware-related topics.

Note: This document contains only guidelines for the Master ROULETTE™ game software. Each regulatory jurisdiction and gaming site have their own internal controls, policies and proce-dures that must be followed when accessing machines and set-ting configuration options. You are responsible for understand-ing and abiding by the rules that apply in your environment.

We address slot attendants and technical personnel, who are involved in operating ATRONIC gaming machines. With this user group we assume that they are familiar with gaming ma-chines and casino related terminology.

Please read this document carefully before you start, to avoid incorrect configuration or operation.

Button Panel Layout2.2

This button panel layout is used on OXYGEN cabinets with Master ROULETTE™ game software. Other cabinets may use a slightly different layout.

BET - / BET +Press the BET + to halve all bets or the BET - button to double all bets.If a bet amount is only 1 credit, pressing the BET - button will remove this chip from the table.

START / TAKE WINBoth of the two START / TAKE WIN buttons have the same function.

a) Press the START / TAKE WIN button to start a game (spin the wheel).

b) During the Gamble feature: Press the START / TAKE WIN button to take the win and leave the Gamble feature.

AUTO PLAYThe AUTO PLAY button starts gaming in autoplay mode. Games will start automatically with the latest bet, until any other button is pressed or player interaction is necessary.

Note: Autoplay function is not available in all jurisdictions and has to be enabled during the Initial Setup.

INFOPress the INFO button to display the paytable and the game rules.

GAMBLEThis button starts the Gamble feature after a win. See also section 2.10 Gamble Feature (Double Up).

2.3 Select the Player Denomination

Note: The player denomination menu is available only, if more than one player denomination has been defined.

To select the player denomination:

1. Touch the Denomination on-screen button. The player denominations menu is displayed.

2. Select a new player denomination. The credits available on the credit meter are recalculated

to the new player denomination.

3. The game status is saved for each individual denomina-tion. When selecting a new denomination the game re-stores with the latest bet setting that was played with this denomination.

Place a Bet (Regular Layout)2.4

This section describes how to place a bet and start a game with the regular layout activated.

1. Select (touch) the chip pile with the number of credits you want to bet.

2. You can place your chip by either touching directly on the betting table or by drag and drop the chip to the desired part of the table. You can move your finger on the screen to drag the chip. The numbers that are included in your bet are highlighted until you release your finger from the screen and place the chip on the table.

To add additional chips to this bet touch the chip again.

To remove a chip from the table, drag and drop it back to the chip pile or drop it beside the table area.

3. Repeat steps 1. and 2. to place further chips on the table.

The maximum number of credits you can wager per bet is limited by the table limits.

4. You can double the entire bet amounts by pressing the BET + button on the button panel.

- or - You can halve the entire bet amounts by pressing the BET

- button on the button panel. If the bet amount is only 1 credit, pressing the BET - button will remove this chip from the table.

5. Start the game by pressing one of the START buttons.

If you press the START button again while the wheel spins, the wheel will stop immediately (Fast-Wheel-Stop fea-ture).

Place a Bet (Expert Layout)2.5

This section describes how to place a bet and start a game with the expert layout activated.

1. Touch the EXPERT LAYOUT button to toggle to the ex-pert layout. The racetrack option is displayed. The race-track option allows you to bet on adjacent numbers on the roulette wheel (XX and the neighbors).

2. Select (touch) the chip pile with the number of credits you want to bet and select the numbers of neighbors you want to bet on.

2. Touch the number on the racetrack you want to bet on. The neighbors numbers on both sides are added auto-matically.

In this example we select two neighbors and place a 10 credits chip on number 30 on the racetrack. The game au-tomatically places 10 credits chips on the neighbor num-bers 9, 26 and 3, 11.

3. Place further chips on the table.The maximum number of credits you can wager per bet is limited by the table limits.

4. You can double the entire bet amounts by pressing the BET + button on the button panel.

- or - You can halve the entire bet amounts by pressing the BET

- button on the button panel. If the bet amount is only 1 credit, pressing the BET - button will remove this chip from the table.

5. Start the game by pressing one of the START buttons.

Menu/Info2.6.1 Touch the Menu/Info button to open the Player Options Menu. This menu gives access to following functions:

• LanguageSelect• Info(SeePays)• SpeechOn/Off• ChangeColor• Cashout

Language Select2.6.2 Touch a flag button to select the lan-guage of user interface and player related messages. The lan-guages English, Spanish, French, Russian and Simplified Chi-nese are available.

After one minute in idle mode, the game resets to the default language as configured during the Initial Setup.

Info (See Pays)2.6.3 Touch the button to displays the Game Summary pages which contain game rules and paytable information. Use the arrow buttons to navigate through the pages. Touch Return To Game to return to the game screen.

You can also access the Game Summary pages by pressing the INFO button on the button panel.

Speech On/Off2.6.4 Touch the button to enable or disable the voice output.

Change Color2.6.5 Touch the button to toggle the background color from green to blue.

Cashout2.6.6 Touch the button to collect credits. The Cashout button on screen has the same function as the CASH OUT button at the main door.

Save / Restore2.6.7 The Save / Restore feature allows you to save and restore your four favorite bet presets.

Save a PresetTouch the button to save the current bet layout to one of the four presets. Then touch one of the four presets where you want to save the data to.

Restore a PresetFirst touch the button to clear all chips from the table. When all chips are cleared, the SAVE button turns into the RE-STORE button. Touch the button to open the previously saved presets. Then touch the preset that you want to restore. The chips are now placed on the table as saved before. Presets that contain no data are greyed out.

Expert Layout / Regular Layout2.6.8 Touch the respective the button to toggle between the regular layout and the expert layout.

The expert layout additionally provides:

• A racetrack bet layout where you can bet on adjacentnumbers on the roulette wheel (XX and neighbors)

• Annumberdistributiongraphdisplayedinthemiddleofthe roulette wheel.

Rebet2.6.9 When all chips are cleared from the table, touching the button restores the latest bet that was played.

Start / Stop2.6.10 Touch the START button to start a game.

While the roulette wheel spins the START button turns into the STOP button. Touching the STOP button immediately stops the roulette wheel (if the Fast-Wheel-Stop feature is en-abled).

Note: The Fast-Wheel-Stop feature can be enabled/disabled in the Service Menu.

Note: The START button on the button panel has the same func-tion as the START / STOP on-screen button.

Detailed Statistics2.6.11 The regular statistic at the top of the main screen shows the last 33 drawn numbers.

Touching the button opens the Detailed Statistic window at top of the screen. It shows the frequency of the single numbers, the frequency of the outside bets and the number of games played. The Detailed Statistics window clos-es automatically when a new game is started.

Volume Adjust2.6.12 The Volume Adjust button allows players to adjust the game volume.

a) with the reels not spinningTouch the Volume Adjust button to step through the volume settings 0 - 25 - 50 - 75 - 100%.

b) with the reels spinningTouch the Volume Adjust button to mute the game volume.

Toggle Credit Meter2.6.13 Touch into the meters area to toggle the units of Win Meter, Bet Meter and Credit Meter from credits to currency.

Start GameWhen a valid bet was selected, press the START button to start a game. The wheel spins for some seconds before it stops and the game outcome is displayed.

Game without Win

If credits remain on the credit meter, “Place your bets!” is •displayed and another bet can be placed.

If not enough credits remain on the credit meter to play •the current bet, “Not enough credits to rebet!” is displayed. Insert a sufficient amount of money or choose another bet to resume playing.

If no credits remain on the credit meter, “Insert Money to •start!” is displayed.

Game with Win

If there are wining bets, the win presentation starts. The •winning number is highlighted. The winning chips are vis-ible, the non-winning chips are greyed out.

The totalized win amount is displayed on the win meter.•

If the Gamble feature is enabled, the • GAMBLE button is lit and “PRESS GAMBLE FOR DOUBLE UP OR START NEW GAME” is displayed. Press the GAMBLE button to enter the Gamble feature, or start a new game.

The game ends after the Gamble feature was played or •when a new game is started.

- The total win amount is booked to the credit meter.

- A win exceeding an adjusted limit results in an immedi-ate payout or in a handpay.

The win meter resets when a new game is started.•

Auto Play2.8.1 Press the AUTO PLAY button to start the autoplay mode.

In auto play mode, games will start automatically with the se-lected bet until:

- Player interaction is necessary.- Autoplay mode is deactivated by pressing the AUTO PLAY

button again.- Not enough credits remain for the selected bet.

Fast-Wheel-Stop2.8.2

Press the START/STOP button while the roulette wheel spins to stop the wheel immediately.

The Fast-Wheel-Stop feature can be enable / disabled on the Service Menu Screen 2.4.4 Settings / Game / Available Game / Switch Fast Wheel Stop On/Off.

Note: Auto Play and Fast Wheel Stop are not available in all ju-risdiction or may be deactivated by the Config File on the Game CF Card.

2.9 Gamble Feature (Double Up)

After a game with a win, the Gamble feature can be activated by pressing the GAMBLE button on the button panel. This feature gives players the option to wager the won credits of the recent game in an additional bet.

Gamble AmountUse the and buttons left and right from the Gamble Amount box to adjust your gamble amount. halves the gamble amount. doubles the gamble amount. The mini-mum gamble amount is the initial bet.

Gamble x2 (Red or Black)Players can place their bet on red or black by touching the Red or Black button. If the color of the next drawn card matches, the gamble amount is doubled. If not, the bet is lost and the feature ends.

Gamble x4 (Suit)Players can place their bet on a suit by touching the Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs or Spades button. If the suit of the next drawn card matches, the gamble amount is quadrupled. If not, the bet is lost and the feature ends.

Take WinThe Take Win button exits the Gamble feature. The win amount is booked to the credit meter.

The gamble feature ends- when the drawn card does not match- when the player activates the Take Win button- when the maximal number of gamble steps is reached- when the Gamble Limit is reached

The number of gamble steps is limited by the Initial Setup set-ting “General Game Suites Settings / Double Up Games”.

The Gamble Limit can be adjusted under “Service Menu / Set-tings / Game / Limit Settings / General Limits”.

Upper Screen2.10

The upper screen shows different kinds of information, de-pending on the current game mode:

Attract ModeWhen the game is in idle mode and no credits are on the credit meter, the upper screen shows a player attracting animation.

Game ModeIn the regular game mode the upper screen shows the rou-lette wheel and the Hot / Cold Numbers.

• RouletteWheel When a game is started, the upper screen shows an ani-

mation of a spinning roulette wheel.

• Hot/ColdNumbers The Hot Numbers are the most often drawn numbers. The

Cold Numbers are the least often drawn numbers.

• NumberDistributionGraph When the Expert Layout is activated, the middle of the

roulette wheel turns into a number distribution graph. The larger the bar towards a number, the more often this number was drawn.

Malfunction ModeIn case of a malfunction, the error message is displayed on the upper screen while entering the Service Menu for trouble-shooting.

Payout3.

Cash Out3.1

Press the CASH OUT button located on the functional button panel to collect credits. Depending on hardware configuration and software settings there are different ways to cash out.

Hopper PayoutIf a hopper is installed, in the standard configuration all cash-able credits are paid out by the hopper. If the number of coins to be cashed out, is exceeding the Hopper Payout Limit, a can-celled credits handpay is initiated. To adjust the Hopper Pay-out Limit (in coins), go to Service Menu / Settings / Hardware / Hopper / General. With the setting Payout Limit Procedure you can additionally adjust how many coins are paid out before the cancelled credits handpay is initiated.

Ticket Payout (optional)If the machine is configured for ticketing, the payout is carried out by ticket only, or by a combination of coins and ticket (de-fault setting if a hopper is installed).

Disable the setting Service Menu / Settings / Hardware / Hopper / General / Partial Pay From Hopper Enabled to prevent payouts by coin. See section 3.4 Partial Pay From Hopper for details.

Note: If the ticket printer is not operational, the cashout is carried out by the hopper (if applicable).

Cashless / Smart Card (optional)If the machine is configured for Advanced Fund Transfers (AFT), this functions allows electronic credit transfers from/to a casino managed wagering account by means of an external cashless wagering system. The card handling is managed by an (optional) player interface with card reader.

Note: Support of cashless functionality is application- and soft-ware dependent.

Payout Limit3.2

If the amount to be cashed out is exceeding the Payout Limit, a cancelled credits handpay is initiated. The cancelled credits handpay has to be acknowledged by an attendant. The Pay-out Limit applies to all payout devices, in case the payout was initiated by pressing the CASH OUT button.

Adjust the Payout Limit under Service Menu / Settings / Game / Limit Settings / General Limits.

Residual Credits Payout3.3

Residual credits are credits that remain on the credit meter af-ter a (hopper) payout, because the remaining credit value is less than one coin‘s value. The residual credits payout mode can only be during the Initial Setup. Available options are:

Handpay / Locked• When residual credits remain after a cashout, “PRESS

CASH OUT FOR HANDPAY OR CONTINUE GAMEPLAY“ is dis-played. When the CASH OUT button is pressed again, the machine goes into handpay mode and the message “CALL ATTENDANT FOR HANDPAY xx (currency)“ is displayed. The button panel is deactivated. An attendant must confirm the handpay using the Jackpot Key.

Handpay / Playable• When residual credits remain after a cashout, “PRESS

CASH OUT FOR HANDPAY OR CONTINUE GAMEPLAY“ is dis-played. When the CASH OUT button is pressed again, the machine goes into handpay mode, but the button panel stays active. In case a new bet is placed, the machine re-turns to game mode and sends a handpay cancelled mes-sage to the system.

No Handpay• When residual credits remain after a cashout and the

CASH OUT button is pressed again, the message “INSERT MONEY OR PLAY OFF RESIDUAL CREDITS“ is displayed. A handpay of the remaining credits is not possible.

Note: If a ticket printer is configured to pay out residual credits, these settings only apply in case of a printer malfunction.

3.4 Partial Payout from Hopper

The Partial Payout From Hopper setting allows to split payouts into tickets and coins. It can be enabled/disabled under Service Menu / Settings / Hardware / Hopper / General / Partial Pay From Hopper Enabled. The way how payout are splitted depends on the payout amount and if residual credits are contained in the payout amount.

Use cases:

• ThePartialPayFromHopperfeatureisdisabled.-> The entire amount is always paid by voucher.

• ThePartialPayFromHopperfeatureisenabled.• ThepayoutamountisbelowtheHopperPayoutLimitand

does not contain residual credits.-> The entire amount is paid by the hopper.

does contain residual credits.-> The entire amount is paid by voucher.

Win Limits Overview3.5.1

Handpay LimitThe Handpay Limit determines the threshold for jackpot hand-pays. It can be adjusted under Service Menu / Settings / Game / Limit Settings / Handpay Limit.

Celebration LimitDepending on its configuration the Celebration Limit deter-mines the threshold for jackpot handpays (default),

or

the Celebration Limit is an additional win limit that allows to configure a dedicated payout device.

The Celebration Limit can be adjusted under Service Menu / Settings / Game / Limit Settings / Celebration Limit.

- Win is booked to credit meter

- Attendant has to turn jackpot key- Win is paid by configured payout device

- Jackpot handpay required- Attendant has to turn jackpot key

A win exceeding the first limit locks up the machine but does not require a handpay. A win exceeding the second limit initi-ates a jackpot handpaid.

-> Use the Celebration Limit for the first (lower) limit. Set Des-tination to Credit Meter, Voucher or Host (as required) and adjust the limit value. A win exceeding the Celebration Limit initiates a win celebration:

3.6 Handpays

This section describes the handling of jackpot handpays and cancelled credits handpays. Additionally it describes how both kinds of handpays are triggered and metered.

Overview3.6.1

1. A handpay was triggered, because

a win exceeded the adjusted • Handpay Limit = jackpot handpay

a win exceeded the adjusted • Celebration Limit and the Payout Destination was set to Handpay

= jackpot handpay

a cashout request exceeded the • Payout Limit = cancelled credits handpay

the machine can not fulfill a cashout request • = cancelled credits handpay

2. The machine locks up for handpay and prevents further plays, inserting money or cashout money. The toplight is flashing as adjusted.

3. The handpay amount is displayed on screen.

Jackpot Handpay• : A congratulation pop-up window is displayed. The handpay message is displayed in the lower game line (figure 1). The to lines “CALL ATTEN-DANT - YOU HAVE WON X.XXX €” and “AMOUNT WILL BE HAND PAID” are displayed alternating.

Cancelled Credits Handpay:• The handpay message “CALL ATTENDANT FOR HANDPAY X.XXX €” is displayed in a pop-up window (figure 2).

4. The machine sends a handpay poll to the online system. 5. An attendant carries out the handpay (according to the ca-

sino rules for handpays).

6. The attendant turns the Jackpot Key to clear the handpay message and unlock the machine.

7. The handpaid amount is displayed on the paid meter and booked to the relevant softmeters (see next pages for de-tails).

8. (Optional for jackpot handpays) A jackpot receipt is print-ed, if enabled.

Definition: A jackpot handpay is triggered, when the win amount of a single game exceeds an adjusted limit.

The total win of a single game exceeds the • Handpay Limit. -> The entire win amount is a jackpot handpay.

The total win of a single game exceeds the • Celebration Limit and the Celebration Limit Destination is set to Hand-pay. -> The entire win amount is a jackpot handpay.

• Addingawin to the creditmeterwouldexceed thead-justed Credit Limit, but the machine can not or must not fulfill the automatically initiated payout (e.g. printer mal-function). -> The win amount is a jackpot handpay.

Caution: Hitting the top award or a progressive win does not automatically trigger a jackpot hand-pay. The win amount has to exceed the Handpay Limit or the Celebration Limit (set to Handpay) in order to trigger a jackpot handpay.

4. Service Menu

Service Menu4. Several pages of information, configuration and diagnostics can be accessed from the Service Menu. The structure of the Service Menu is designed to be user friendly and self-explan-atory.

The Service Menu consists of folders that contain pages of information and settings. To navigate to the desired folder, touch the assigned folder tab.

Some menus have information stored on more than one page. Use the scroll bars to navigate through the pages and items.

Important: In configuration menus you have to touch the SAVE button to apply changes.
