This manual will detail how you can navigate Virtual Bocconi&Jobs to access the event, use the chat function and manage applications.

LIVE DAYS: you can check the materials in the booths, interact live with employers, submit applications.
PREVIEW DAYS: you can check the materials in the virtual booths.
THE WEEK AFTER: you can check the materials in the booths and submit applications.

The navigation bar is at the top of each page and contains the list of all the functions enabled for the fair.
Employers and Students/Graduates can click on any of the tabs and it will lead them to that specific area of the environment.
A brief description of all the navigation bar tabs is available below.

The lobby is the main welcome area of the event.From here you can access the following:
The Career Services Desk for students, to get info on Career Service activities and initiatives
Technical assistance: clicking here will direct you to tech support
The UniBocconi shop, where you can purchase Bocconi branded gadgets and products
Access the Career Fair hall with participating employers, where you can find their virtual booths

Once in the Career Fair hall you will see all the attending employers.You can visit the booths you are interested in by clicking on the company namein the ‘Exhibitors Index’ section or by clicking on the thumbnail of the booth.

Clicking on individual booths will take you inside the employer info and from here you can: View the company profile, with descriptions and videos View internship/job opportunities and apply Connect to employers’ social media Download attachments and add them to your swag bag Chat with recruiters

Click on the CHAT button in the booth of your interest, and you will be directed to the chat room of that particular booth.
You will see a list of online booth reps in the panel on your right. Please read the previous conversation in the group chat room in the middle and ask further meaningful questions if needed. Please note that only recruiters can open individual chats or video calls with students/graduates (not the reverse).

Allowing “sofe2020cds.vfairs.com” to use microphone and camera – in case you’re requested for a one-to-one videochat or call - is crucial; a pop-up appears when initiating the first call through the chat platform, click on “allow”.

In case of troubles with the chat tool: Change internet connection from WIFI to LAN or LAN to WIFI. Make sure all OS updates are applied, also make sure that the browser version is the
latest for the respective vendor. Latest versions of Microsoft Edge / Google Chrome / Safari / Mozilla Firefox are recommended. Audio/Video chat is not supported on Internet Explorer.
Disable firewall or any related software that might be blocking p2p traffic. Exit from other chat rooms where they are not needed. If needed, add these wildcards to whitelist for normal chat: *.pubnub.com,
*.pndsn.com, *.pubnub.net and *.pubnub.io If needed, add these wildcards to whitelist for audio/video chat: *.tokbox.com,
*.opentok.com If there are problems with audio/video going through, please quit any other application
which might be capturing hardware/video camera (e.g. Skype/Teams). If there are problems with audio/video not going through, please make sure both parties
are engaging their hardware when a call is made. If for some reason the call session does not quit – and you still notice a red button on top
of the chat even if you closed the conversation - please refresh the browser (click on F5).

Application tool for students: Within each booth students and graduates can find related vacancies, if
available. Students and graduates can click on the button and apply from there.
The “view details” button will show the description of the opportunities and info related to the application (via a corporate Application Tracking System or via the career fair’s internal system).

Swag Bag is a tool that allows you to download materials from the event.
To gather documents, click on the “+Swag Bag” option that appears next to each listed document. Contents of the Swag Bag can be sent directly to your email inbox.

Technical support for students/graduates and employers.In case of any technical issues, one of our vFairs representatives will be there to assist you.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Technical support is provided via: a “Technical Assistance” point, available in the Lobby (bottom right-hand
corner), where a dedicated vFairs representative will be available during the event to answer any questions regarding the virtual environment and how to access it. This service is available in English only. Just click on the banner which says “Click here for tech support” and it will lead you to the Tech Support chat room.
