controls, so you may get the maximum benefits from the instruments.
Do not throw this manual away!
Introduction
The ultimate In Custom Noise Suppression
CENS®digital
CENS®HUNTER
ProFlex ProFlex
CENS® ProFlex digital 1 provides excellent all-around noise suppression and ambient amplification for a variety of shooting environments.
CENS® ProFlex digital 2 devices have an additional push button to select between two programmes (please note: The scenarios below are not the definitve uses, and you may find one programme suits your needs in different environments. We recommend trying both programs in different conditions.)
Digital Technology
Programme 1 (i.e. Game)Optimised for intermittent shots (i.e. game shoot). This configuration also helps by amplifying sounds such as wings flapping, thus providing the shooter wiht advanced warning of approaching quarry.Programme 2 (i.e. Clay)Optimised for continued shots (i.e. clay shoots). This system has been designed to allow more flexible noise suppression while still amplifying ambient sounds.
CENS® ProFlex Hunter also has a push-button to select between two programmes.Programme 1 (Normal)Provides the standard CENS® ProFlex features, such as excellent noise suppression and ambient sound amplificationProgramme 2 (Increased Wind Noise Reduction)Increases the amount of wind noise reduction provided. Ideal for shooting in severe conditions. (i.e. typical in the open range and in hunting-stands.)

(a) Volume control & on/off switch: The volume control is used to set the desired listening level and turn the devices on/off. The output is, however, limited and will not exceed unconfortable levels ( for a typically normal ear). It is, nevertheless, recommended that the instruments are not used on full volume for prolonged periods, but at a comfortable listening level only. The function of these devices is to act as a noise plug and not a hearing aid.
(b) Battery tray allows easy access to the battery to facilitate replacement. Place a fingernail under the notch, then lift to open the battery tray for battery replacement. Lifting the battery tray will not cause the battery to fall out.
(c) Microphone The microphone is positioned under the switch position (d) and the ambient sounds are picked up and fed into the instrument. It also features a wind/noise reduction system with rain splash guard to protect the microphone
(d) Push-button switch (CENS® ProFlex digital 2 & Hunter only)Pressing this button will allow the user to toggle between memories. A single bleep indicates programme 1 and a double bleep indicates programme 2.
(e) comfortable soft silicone - for extra comfort in the ear.

The PLUS Option:Size 13 batteries - Up to 400 hours of battery life approximately*Power-On Delay When the device is switched on there is a 5 second delay prior to the output amplifier activating. This allows the user to set the volume level prior to fitting the device. Somepeople will find this easier than making adjustments in the ear.Activation Melody When the output amplifier activates after the power-on delay there is a shortmelody played in the device to let the user know it is active and switched on.Acoustic Performace Upgrades Providing a more natural listening experience.
*based on Rayovac Zinc air batteries, these will discharge once the tab is removed even whenthe device is switched off.
The Battery
Only use batteries designed specificially for this instrument. Repalcement batteries can be obtained from your local registered hearing aid dispenser, local battery retailer or at 2pluxx ([email protected]) Use of any other size or type of battery may render the warranty void. With the CENS® ProFlex series an audible warning (series of beeps) will be heard in the device when the batteries require replacing.
Ensure that you dispose of your old battery in a responsible way. Never leave any batteries - old or new - within the reach of children or pets.
