Aufruf des Menüs „Werkzeuge - Einstellungen“

Dann im nächsten Fenster unten links „Alle“ Einstellungen auswählen, um in die erweiterten Einstellungen zu gelangen.

Anschließend im Fenster links den Block „Eingang / Codecs“ auswählen.

Im rechten Feld dann zum Block „Erweitert“ herunterscrollen und die Einstellung „Cachewert für das Netzwerk (ms)“ auf 100 ms reduzieren.

Zum Abschluss Einstellungen speichern und den VLC Player neu starten.

Call up menu „Tools - Preferences“

Then select "All" settings in the lower left corner of the next window to get to the advanced settings.

Then select the block "Input / Codecs" in the window on the left.

Then scroll down to the "Advanced" block in the right-hand field and reduce the setting "Network Cache (ms)" to 100 ms.

Finally save the settings and restart the VLC Player.

GStreamer

GStreamer kann unter folgendem Link heruntergela-den werden.


Nach dem Start der Installation, wird der Typ der In-stallation abgefragt, hier wählt man „Custom“.

Anschließend wählt man eine komplette Installation aus und führt die Installation zu Ende.

Anschließend öffnet man über „Erweitert-Umgebungsvariablen“ den Variableneditor.

Dort erweitert man die Variable „Path“ im Abschnitt „Systemvariablen“ um den Installationspfad von Gstreamer.

Hier wird der Pfad durch die Schaltfläche „Neu“ hinzu-gefügt. Dieser sollte bei der Standardinstallation wie folgt sein: C:\gstreamer\1.0\x86_64\bin

Anschließend alle offenen Fenster mit OK bestätigen.

ArkCam Viewer

Nach der Installation von GStreamer lässt sich der ArkCamViewer über die exe starten. Beim aller-ersten Start sollte sich die Windows-Firewall mel-den. Dort ist es wichtig, den Zugriff auf private und öffentliche Netzwerke zuzulassen.

After installing GStreamer, ArkCamViewer can be started via the exe. At the very first start the Windows firewall should report. There it is im-portant to allow access to private and public net-works.

Linux

Zum Ausführen der Applikation ist, ebenso wie unter Windows, eine Installation von GStreamer notwendig.

Zur Installation von GStreamer kann der jeweilige Pa-ketmanager der Distribution verwendet werden. Die folgenden Pakete sind notwendig:

▪ libgstreamer1.0-0

▪ gstreamer1.0-plugins-base

▪ gstreamer1.0-plugins-good

▪ gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad

▪ gstreamer1.0-plugins-ugly

In Debian basierenden Distributionen erfolgt die In-stallation wie folgt:
