Connection

AnywarePro is the successor to SORTEX AnyWare, designed to support Bühler Sortex machinery around the world, enabling customers to minimise down-time, and maximise profits.

AnywarePro has two main strands of operation:-

Enabling Bühler Sortex engineers to detect and diagnose problems, and to get them fixed as quickly as possible.

Giving the customer useful information about his machine(s), to make that machine’s management as easy and profitable as possible.

This document is chiefly concerned with the second of these – the customer’s access to the AnywarePro website and how to use the information shown there.

Connection To enable all this to happen, there will need to be an internet connection between your machine and the Bühler Sortex server. This should be arranged during the ordering process, and finished during the machine’s commissioning. Refer to the Pre-installation Guide for your machine, for technical details.

Browsers The AnywarePro website works on:-

Internet Explorer 10 and Internet Explorer 11 and above. Google Chrome 40.0.2214.111 and above Safari 5.1.7 Mozilla Firefox 35.0.1 and above.

Login

First Login You will have received an email, with a web address, a username and a password. Click the web address and enter the username and password given – and click SIGN IN.

For this first time, you will be asked to change your password immediately. Use the password from the email to confirm who you are and select a new password, repeating it to confirm.

Note: Passwords must be 8 characters or more, including at least 2 lower case and two upper case characters. You will be told if your selection doesn’t qualify. Password characters are case-sensitive (that is, A and a are different characters).

At this time, you will also be invited to fill in your Profile. This enables you to use your real name and personal photo for identification.

The Profile screen also allows you to set up a Security question – to let you gain access to AnywarePro, should you forget your password. You can select from a drop-down – entering your chosen answer to that question. Or you can Choose your own question

Login

– entering both the challenge and response which will identify you to the software.

Once you have selected your new password and completed your Profile, the Login will be a simple username/password entry. Once logged in, there is a Logout option. Use this if you are leaving your computer

unattended.

After Login, a Fault Log screen will appear, showing the status of your machines. If you have several machines, perhaps at different factories, there will be a list of these machines.

Time out There is a timeout function – logging a user out, if there has been no activity for some time. You will need to log in again.

Hint: You answers do not need to be true, but they do need to be memorable.

Opening Screen

Opening screen The opening screen gives an overview of machine status. On the left, this lists the machines for which you are responsible, showing their current status.

Select a machine from the list and further information about that machine is shown on the right of the screen:-

Fault Information A history of faults on that machine.

Click on Full Details for a closer look at these faults

The Fault Information for a particular machine might look something like the image on the right:-

This lists each fault experienced by the machine, when it happened and how severe it was.

Note: If the list of machines is very long, you can sort the table by one of the column headings, by clicking on that heading. For instance, if you click on Severity, any problem machines will be grouped together.

There is also a Search box, to find a machine by its serial number.

Wear

This symbol indicates a problem, which should be attended to soon.

This symbol means that the fault has been cleared.

Help You will note that each fault has a Help link associated with it. Click on this for advice on how to handle this fault.

Predictive Wear From our decades of experience, Bühler Sortex have acquired a very good idea of how long our various consumables will last. Since our machines also keep a record of when they were last changed, and what activity they have had, we are able to warn our customers when items are likely to need replacing.

Note: The text behind the Help button is being accumulated through the experience of Bühler Sortex engineers, working on machines around the world, using their version of AnywarePro.

In its early days, not all faults will have an associated help file.

In the meantime, call or email your Bühler Sortex contact.

Note: In this case, the Ejectors graphic is showing a warning that the ejectors are nearing end of life. Time to schedule a change.

Opening Screen

A percentage estimation of how much usage there has been on Ejectors, Lamps and Wipers is shown on the Home screen – to help with planning future maintenance.

If you allow your mouse pointer to hover over one of the bars, a popup will show extra information (the blue boxes).

If you click on one of these rows, it will expand to show more detail (with the exception of the ‘Wiper’ row – there isn’t any more detail to show.):-

The screen shown above gives the Lamps information – showing each of the lighting modules in a SORTEX S.

Wear

A similar screen is shown if you select Ejectors.

This example is showing that all ejectors are approaching end of life (with some leeway). If you know this information to be false (because you know the ejectors have just been replaced), you can click reset all ejectors, to zero all the readings.

Export wear data This will export a CSV file, to your computer, which can be opened in Excel or similar program.

Statistics A graph shows how Throughput and Defects has varied over a given period.

On this item, Full Details reveals a much more detailed graph.

Click on Filters to perform a range of adjustments to the view:-

This allows you to filter your results on:-

Date Defects Modes

At the bottom of the Stat display is a Time period indicator:-

Click on the > arrow, and the statistics period will switch to 1 week. Click on it again and it will change to 1 Month. Click on < to reverse these changes.

This screen also allows you to Compare with another machine. Of course, this must be another machine in your own list. With this second machine, you can apply the same (or different) filters.

Wear

Returning to the main screen, the icons on the right of the screen control the view. Selecting the first icon shows a single-machine view. The middle icon shows a combined view, with the graphs for the two machines superimposed (this view is the one shown in the example above). Finally, the third icon shows the combined view, with the graphs side-by-side.

Export The Statistics tab also provides an export option to be able to review the data. This will produce a CSV file – which can be viewed in a number of applications, including Excel. In some browsers, however, this command will open the data in a new tab – which can be saved to disc.

Print To print the data represented on the current screen, press the Print button

. Your computer will begin the usual printing procedure.

Super User

Super User/Add User There are several levels of access to AnywarePro. For instance, a ‘Service SuperUser’ will have set up your account.

In most cases, a “Super Customer User” will have been created for each company, or each factory. This user will have an extra icon, on the left-hand side of the screen.

This will open a new screen, listing the Customer users in your company (initially, you may be the only name in the list).

The purpose of this screen is to allow you, on behalf of your company, to manage other users of AnywarePro. This may be because there are too many machines, or too many sites, for one person to manage.

This mechanism can also help with changes in staff – replacing the details of departing staff with that of arriving staff.

In either case, click Add Customer User. A dialog will open (see right) into which you should enter the details for the member of staff taking on this role.

In particular, note the ContactEmail field. It is important to enter this correctly. The password email for this account will be sent to that address. If it is incorrect, the account will not be activated.

your own email address for this purpose. The software will not allow the same email address to be used twice.

The other fields are self-explanatory. If important fields are left blank, the software will complain, and indicate the field to be completed.

Reports/Notifications These checkboxes select which items of information will be emailed to this User.

Assign machines Select the machine or machines for which this User will take responsibility. He/she will only see information about the chosen machine(s).

Edit/Delete At a later date, you may wish to edit this User’s details. If so, simply click on that line in the Users screen. A dialog will open, allowing you to make changes.

If you need to remove this User from this list, and prevent access, there is a Delete button on that line in the Users screen.

News/Messages

News At the top of the screen, you may see a message saying “you have a new marketing message – click here to view’. This informs you of a new message. However, you can look at all message, by clicking on the News icon. The number refers to the number of unread items in the list.

If you click on either, a viewer will appear, showing a PDF message.

You can select any of the messages listed on the left-hand side.

Messenger The icon for this is on the bottom left-hand side of the screen.

Click on it, and the Messenger app will open. This lists all the individuals in your group (including the Service user, assigned to your Company/machine.

The green dots indicate that they are currently on-line.

Click on a name to ‘chat’ with them.

This can be useful to discuss an issue with an expert – or with someone who may be experiencing a similar issue.

Note: If there are too many names to scroll through, use the Search facility to find the name you want.
