    ThefirsttimeyouplugaUSBdeviceintoaUSBportonyourcomputer,Windowsautomaticallyinstallsadriverforthatdevice.Afterthedriverisinstalled,youcandisconnectandreconnectthedevicewithoutperforminganyadditionalsteps.

    BeforedisconnectingaUSBstoragedevice,makesureyourcomputerhasfinishedusingthedevicetotransferthedata.ClicktheSafelyRemoveHardwareandEjectMediaiconinthenotificationareaoftheWindowsdesktopscreentoremovethedevicebeforedisconnecting.

    Note: Typically,Windowsdetectsanewlyconnecteddeviceafterconnectingitandtheninstallsthedriverautomatically.However,somedevicesmightrequireyoutoinstallthedriverbeforeconnecting.Checkthedocumentationprovidedbythemanufacturerofthedevicebeforeconnecting.
